3. What airport do I fly into?
For this itinerary, you will be picked up at Calgary International
Airport in Alberta, Canada. At the end of of your adventure, you
will be transferred back to to the airport for your return flight
home. Return flights home should be scheduled after 2:00 p.m.
4. What is the climate like?
In the summer months, weather in the Canadian Rockies is pleasant
and cool, with high daytime temperatures up to 70 degrees
Fahrenheit, and nighttime temperatures at 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
There are occasional rain showers, with the most precipitation in
June.
5. How strenuous are the activities?
Most of this adventure takes place in areas with high elevations.
This is an active itinerary with nature walks, glacier hiking,
rafting and canoeing as part of the schedule. Travelers should feel
comfortable spending time exploring the outdoors. There are
alternate activities for those who want to have a more relaxing
experience.
6. What ages are appropriate for this
adventure?
This adventure is recommended for everyone ages 8 and up.
7. Can I extend my vacation beyond
the Adventures by Disney itinerary?
Yes, you may stay in Canada before or after the itinerary and
explore more of what the mountains have to offer. Disney can arrange
to meet you at Calgary airport or at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel on
Day One. Please contact our Adventure by Disney Concierge Team to
let us know in advance where and when Disney should arrange to meet
you.
8. Do I need a passport or other
documents?
U.S. citizens must have a valid passport to travel to Canada and
re-enter the United States. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please
check your local documentation requirements for travel to Canada.
9. Do I need vaccinations or visas to
travel to this country?
If you are a U.S. citizen, you do not need a visa or vaccinations to
travel to Canada. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check your
local requirements on visas and vaccinations for travel to Canada.
10. Will I have issues with local
currencies of languages?
English is the primary language in Alberta, Canada. The currency is
the Canadian dollar. Your Adventure Guide can help you with any
currency issues or language barriers.
11. How will our group travel between
destinations?
During the adventure, transportation is provided by private motor
coach.
