2. How old do children need to be to experience an Adventures by
Disney vacation?
The Hawaiian itineraries, Legends of the Islands and Escape to
Paradise, are recommended for everyone ages 6 and older. All other
itineraries are recommended for everyone ages 8 and older.
3. Are some adventures better than others for children?
The Hawaiian vacations are less strenuous and more appropriate for
ages children 6 and older. The Quest for the West (Wyoming), Magic
of the Mountain (Canadian Rockies) and Path to Pura Vida (Costa
Rica) itineraries are fairly active, and for slightly older children
ages 8 and older. Both European adventures have walking tours and
city exploration on the itineraries, and will be mot enjoyed by
children ages 8 and older.
4. Are the Adventure Guides qualified
to lead families with children?
Yes, Adventure Guides offer unparalleled service in providing the
quality care and entertainment that you and your children expect
from all your Disney experiences. Not only are the Adventure Guides
specialists in local culture and history, they also love kids!
5. Is childcare available on any of
the vacations?
Each itinerary is crafted so that each family member can enjoy their
travel experience in their own way. Every vacation has special "Kids
Only" events, such as bowling and beach parties, so adults can enjoy
some of the time on their own. Adventures by Disney does not
provide specific childcare or babysitting services, although some of
the resorts on select itineraries do.
6. What safety precautions have been
taken in planning for these itineraries?
Disney's Adventure Planners have done extensive research to ensure
to that your vacation features quality accommodations, reliable
transportation and professional guides and instructors. From surf
teachers to snowcoach drivers, every guide has been personally
approved by Disney's Planners. The resorts, tours and activities are
the best the area has to offer, and deliver the reliability and
quality experience that the Disney company values.
7. What is included in the price of
the vacation? Are there any additional or hidden costs?
Accommodation, transportation, activities and most of the meals on
the itinerary are included in the vacation price. If you wish to
explore other activities, indulge in the spa services or have a meal
on your own, those expenses are not covered in the vacation price.
8. Are gratuities for housekeeping
and wait staff covered in the cost of the adventure?
Yes, gratuities for wait staff, housekeeping and drivers are covered
by the vacation price, so you will not need to worry about tipping
on your adventure. However, the gratuities for your Adventure Guides
are not included in the price of the vacation, and are at your
discretion.
9. What kind of transportation is
included in the vacation price?
Once you arrive at the airport at your destination, all
transportation is included in the planned itinerary. You will be
chauffeured from the airport in a private car, and transferred back
to the airport on the last day of your vacation. Depending on your
adventure, transportation between destinations on your itinerary may
include: private charter airplane, Eurostar train or luxury motor
coach. Flights between your home and the adventure destination are
not included, nor are the transportation costs of special excursion
that you may wish to take off your planned itinerary.
10. What are Adult Only Departures?
During Disney's adventure schedule, there are several departures
that have been designated for travelers over 18 years old. Please
consult the dates and rates section of each itinerary for each Adult
Only Departure.
11. Can Adventures by Disney plan
special events, such as birthdays?
Disney wants to make your vacation an unforgettable experience. If
you or your family members are celebrating an anniversary, birthday
or other special event, please let us know in advance and we can
help you make arrangements for a unique celebration.
12. What is your policy for changing
or canceling a reservations?
Changes to a reservation may result in a per-person service fee.
Please contact our Adventures by Disney Concierge Team for more
details. Unfortunately, cancellations result in charges and fees
from the hotel providers, so we have established the following
cancellation guidelines: For bookings made earlier than 95
days from departure date, your deposit of $300 is 100% refundable
until 5 days after you booked. After 10 days have passed since
bookings or for bookings made within 95 of departure, the
non-refundable amounts due upon cancellation are as follows: 90 days
or more before departure: $300 per person fee; 60-89 days before
departure: 25% of package price per person fee; 30-59 days before
departure: 50% of package price per person fee; 0-29 days before
departure: 100% of package price per person fee.
13. What is the Vacation Protection
Plan?
The Vacation Protection Plan is insurance provided by Access America
to protect your vacation investment in case of sudden unforeseen
circumstances such as illness or delays which could result in the
cancellation or interruption of your adventure. Please contact our
Adventures by DisneyConcierge Team for details.
14. What if I need to change my
vacation date?
Date changes are subject to the same fees as adventure
cancellations. Please contact our Adventures by Disney
Concierge Team if you have any questions.
15. Can the Concierge agent book my
flight?
Yes, our Adventures by Disney Concierge Team would be happy to
assist you with your flights to and from you adventure destination.
16. Once I have booked my vacation,
what information will I receive?
45-60 days before you depart for your vacation, we will send you an
Adventure Planning Packet, which includes all the information you
will need to prepare for your adventure.
17. Can you accommodate special
dietary needs?
Adventures by Disney can accommodate some special dietary needs at
no additional charge. Unfortunately, we may not be able to
accommodate all special dietary needs requested. Please contact our
Adventures by Disney Concierge Team in advance to advise us of your
needs.
18. Are any of the itineraries appropriate for
people with special needs?
Please note that all vacations include certain activities that
present certain challenges to Guests with special needs. It is
strongly recommended that persons who requiting assistance be
accompanied by a companion capable of and totally responsible for
providing assistance. Neither Adventures by Disney, nor its
suppliers may physically assist Guests into transportation vehicles.
