The wait is over – “Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon” is officially open at Universal Studios Florida.
You can now experience New York like never before. Board the unique “flying studio audience” and it’s you versus Jimmy as you speed down The Tonight Show’s hallways and through the busy streets of midtown Manhattan.
Jimmy Fallon kicked off the celebration with a New York-style ticker tape parade with tons of confetti, a spectacular float and beloved Universal Orlando Resort characters. The moment culminated with a countdown to the official opening of the attraction – and a ribbon cutting with larger-than-life scissors you have to see to believe.
Other special guests included Tonight Show house band – The Roots, Tonight Show announcer – Steve Higgins, the Ragtime Gals barbershop quartet, your favorite Tonight Show mascot Hashtag the Panda and even Stepdad Gary from the popular “Ew!” sketch.
Your Race Through New York experience begins the moment you step inside. With two interactive pre-show areas jam packed with entertainment, “waiting” to race Jimmy has never been more fun.
You can check out over 60 years’ worth of The Tonight Show memorabilia and play games or send “Thank You” notes from interactive desks. You’ll also be able to catch live performances of the Ragtime Gals barbershop quartet and The Tonight Show’s mascot Hashtag the Panda.
“Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon” also features our new Virtual Line. All you need to do is download The Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App and select your return time on the day of your visit. You’ll be able to enjoy the other attractions throughout Universal Studios at your leisure until it’s time for your Tonight Show experience to begin. You may also select your ride time at the kiosks located in front of the attraction.
Once your ride time comes and you’re inside the attraction, you’ll receive a Peacock Card. Hold on to this card because when your color is called throughout the interactive pre-show areas, it’s time for you to race against Jimmy.
