Running from September 27 through November 11, Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival opens this weekend with even more flavors to discover – it’s our favorite time of year, and here’s 5 reasons why…

1.  The Food

Whether it’s shrimp from Australia or griddled Greek cheese with pistachios and honey, there are so many choices from the 29 marketplaces around World Showcase.   With all those booths, and each booth offering 2 to 4 food choices,  there are dozens of food options to choose from all over the world.

2.  The Beverages

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival - The beverages

From wines to beers, mixed drinks, to aperitifs, the Food and Wine Festival brings us beverage options that are not only tasty and refreshing, but also an eclectic sampling of what the world has to offer.  Only during Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival can we sample beverages from around the world all located in one place and many are paired with the food offers at each marketplace.

3.  The Special Events

Epcot’s Food and Wine is not just about the food and beverages at the marketplaces, there are several special events that that you can attend.  Some of the events like “Party for the Senses,””Dessert Dinner Discovery,”and Celebrity Chef Demonstrations, there are several different special events to attend.  Many are free and included with your Epcot park admission, but some do require an extra fee.

The merchandise available during the Food and Wine Festival is some of the most imaginable and creative that Disney offers all year.  From bottle openers, wine toppers, Mickey Chef Ears, wine glasses, and so many other merchandise options, there something for everyone to take home with them from this amazing event.

The Walt Disney World Cast Members are always amazing, but there is something special in the air this year, that makes them even more magical.  Each booth has been challenged with keeping themselves energized and you can even hear them all over World Showcase chanting and keeping everyone laughing and having fun.  You can feel the energy all over the festival and it rubs off on you…it’s awesome.

More Names Added to Epcot’s Candlelight Processional

More names are being added to the schedule of celebrity narrators for this year’s Candlelight Processional at Epcot this holiday season.

More Names Added to Epcot’s Candlelight Processional

Held every year at Epcot, the Candlelight Processional is an event not to be missed. A mass choir, joined by a 50-piece live orchestra and a celebrity narrator, tell the story of Christmas in words and music, in a very moving performance. Performances are held at the America Gardens Theater.

Car Masters Weekend Returns to Walt Disney World Resort June 15-16 at Downtown Disney

If your children, or perhaps you, are inspired by either “Cars” or “Cars 2.” you will probably want to head to Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort June 15-16 to attend Downtown Disney Car Masters Weekend.

Car Masters Weekend Returns to Walt Disney World Resort June 2-3 at Downtown DisneyThis event, now in its second year, celebrates everything “Cars.” There will be meet and greets with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Finn McMissile, as well as a movie marathon at AMC Downtown Disney 24 with showings of “Cars” and “Cars 2.”

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Celebrates 15 Years Today And We Were There!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the fourth theme park built at the Walt Disney World Resort, will celebrate its 15th anniversary today, April 22, which also happens to be Earth Day.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the fourth theme park built at the Walt Disney World Resort, will celebrate its 15th anniversary today, April 22, which also happens to be Earth Day.

Today’s celebration featured a special opening ceremony led by Josh D’Amaro, Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Dr. Jackie Ogden, Vice President of Animals, Science and Environment, and was highlighted with a fun performance of “Circle of Life” from the park’s “Festival of The Lion King.” Other fun planned for the day includes special Earth Day “Party for the Planet” festivities, and unique merchandise and food & beverage offerings.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the fourth theme park built at the Walt Disney World Resort, will celebrate its 15th anniversary today, April 22, which also happens to be Earth Day.

The park originally opened in 1998 to feature several lands dedicated to exploring wildlife and wild places – Africa, Discovery Island, Oasis, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Rafiki’s Planet Watch, and DinoLand, U.S.A. An additional land, Asia, was added in 1999. The park has seen many exciting additions since its debut, including TriceraTop Spin in 2001,Primeval Whirl in 2002, Expedition Everest (one of our favorites!) in 2006, “Finding Nemo – The Musical,” which grand-opened in 2007, and Wild Africa Trek in 2011.

It’s Almost ‘Game On’ for Wreck-It Ralph at Disney Parks

It’s Almost ‘Game On’ for Wreck-It Ralph at Disney Parks

Meet Ralph, the “bad guy” who really wants to be a “good guy” in Disney’s newest animated adventure comedy“Wreck-It Ralph.” In the movie, Ralph goes game jumping across the arcade to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.

Now, Ralph’s set to do some park hopping, too! Ralph will be taking the train from Game Central Station to the Tomorrowland Starcade at Disneyland park, where you’ll be able to meet him starting this Friday, October 26.

Beginning October 28, Ralph will also be stopping in at The Magic of Disney Animation attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where part of the candy-coated cart racing game “Sugar Rush” is being recreated right now. So race on over to Disney Parks this fall to say “Hi!” to Ralph and his pal, Vanellope, and be sure to catch “Wreck-It Ralph” in theaters in 3D November 2.

Last Friday, Dylan McDermott visited Disney California Adventure park with his daughters Charlotte and Collette, to celebrate Charlotte’s seventh birthday. He made a quick stop on Buena Vista Street to check out the new Red Car Trolley, and made quite a fashion statement in his Conductor Mickey hat.

“We’ve been coming [to Disneyland Resort] for years – the girls get so excited,” he told me. “They know it’s the happiest place on Earth.”

During their visit, the couple and their family went to Hogwarts and enjoyed Butterbeer, a favorite drink inside the Harry Potter books and films, in addition to enjoying all the rides and attractions at Universal Orlando. Inspired by J.K. Rowling’s compelling stories and characters, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter features multiple themed attractions, shops and a restaurant – all faithful to the books and films.
