Benefits of Adventures by Disney

Adventures by Disney is a VIP tour service that combines the magic of Disney with the cultures of destinations around the world. The Disney company is known for their world-class guest service and hospitality and that is exactly what you will find in your Disney adventure guides. Your guides use storytelling to immerse you even more within the culture of the location you are visiting. Disney also brings in local guides at select stops along your tour so you can experience your destination from the perspective of a local.

There are many wonderful benefits to using Adventures by Disney. From the time you step off your plane, a Disney guide is there at the airport to greet you, get your bags and transport you to your first destination. During your tour, you move around to different hotels, giving you the opportunity to see multiple parts of the country you are visiting. During each transition, just like at the airport, Disney handles transporting your bags for you from place to place.

Adventures by Disney has exclusive connections with many businesses and local attractions. This means being with Adventures by Disney you get to skip the lines at many museums, shows and attractions. In the video you are about to see below, you will join our agent Jennie on her Adventures by Disney trip to Italy. On her trip, her and her adventure group were able to skip the 2 hour long line at St. Peter’s Basilica and go straight in because they were with Disney. Similarly, on their trip they also had exclusive access to the Vatican museum after general admission hours! Their Adventure by Disney Group got to experience the museum all to themselves!

When Disney designs an Adventures by Disney tour for a destination, they take everything into consideration. Disney guides spend months testing out different hotels, restaurants and experiences and select the best and most authentic options. They do this to guarantee that you are getting the best of the best during your tour!

Disney is a top leader in the hospitality industry and holds high standards for everything they do. Adventures by Disney tours promise to deliver the level of quality and service that you expect from Disney. In the video below you can join our agent Jennie and experience what it is like traveling with Adventures by Disney! Enjoy!

New Christmas offering at Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Sunset Seasons Greetings

This past week I had the opportunity to attend a special annual passholder event at Hollywood Studios. This event featured the new Christmas projection show, Sunset Seasons Greetings! The show features projections on the Hollywood Tower of Terror. With Disney magic this typically eerie looking Hollywood Tower hotel is completely transformed into scenes such as a Christmas cottage and even Santa’s toy workshop. It truly is a sight to see, the technology used in the show will blow you away.

The show also brings to life all of Sunset boulevard with lighting effects and transforming billboards that play short videos clips leading up to the next projection sequence on Tower of Terror. To add to the Christmas atmosphere, it even snows in the middle of Florida!

This new presentation adds a little extra holiday cheer to your Disney vacation. You and your family will want to be sure to check it out this Christmas season!

Exciting Update on Disney Springs’ New Edison Location!

Updated news just released on The Edison at Disney Springs!  The Edison will be home to three locations all having Italian inspired offerings.  This new concept ties into the Disney Springs storyline of a restored Florida waterfront town.  The idea is to bring amazing food and wine from Italy to Florida, with stunning scenery that you can expect with Disney.

Maria & Enzo’s will be an Italian trattoria set in the town’s storied abandoned airline terminal from the 1930’s.  The dining room is very open and will feature 50-foot ceilings with views of Lake Buena Vista.  The theming will showcase artifacts of air travel of the time period, such as maps and historic flight paths. The menu is inspired by Sicily with many authentic Italian dishes.  Some other menu options will include fresh fish, delicious steaks and chops.

Enzo’s Hideaway will be a speakeasy inspired by Roman aperitivo bars.  Located in the storied rum-runner tunnels that connect to Maria & Enzo’s.  Enzo’s Hideaway will serve Prohibition-era cocktails at its Tunnel Bar and serve a casual menu of hearty Roman dishes such as Bucatini alla Carbonara (hollow spaghetti with creamy egg and pancetta sauce.

Pizza Ponte will be a casual fast food spot which will be a convenient location to pick up a quick Italian treat.  This location will feature pizza, Italian sandwiches, espresso and pastries.  One pastry specialty will be Bomboloni which is a wonderful Italian doughnut.  Savory items include stuffed pizza bread, sandwiches, roast pork, and Sicilian style pizza by the slice.

With all these new and exciting additions coming to Walt Disney World property, now is a perfect time to book your next vacation so you don’t miss out on all the new experiences!

The Boathouse at Disney Springs

The Boathouse, located at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida is a wonderful and unique dining experience! As the restaurant’s name implies The Boathouse features nautical theming accompanied by some amazing food.

Something that makes The Boathouse stand out, they are part of the only restaurant group in the country that obtains their own USDA certification. All of the ingredients and products that go into their meals have to meet the highest standards of quality that they set for themselves.

Everyone in your party is sure to find something on the menu they enjoy. As the nautical theming suggests, The Boathouse serves amazing seafood. New England Lobster Roll, Cedar Planked Gulf of Maine Salmon, Broiled Wild Caught Swordfish Steak and Grilled Fresh Fish Tacos are just a few of the wonderful seafood selections served here.  They also have an amazing seafood raw bar. But don’t let all the seaside touches fool you, there is plenty on the menu for land-lovers as well! The Boathouse is also well-known for their steaks and burgers featuring USDA Gibsons Blue Star Heritage Angus Beef.

After your meal, if you are looking for an unique experience, be sure to check out The Boathouse’s amphicars. What is an amphicar? It’s just like a regular car but it has the ability to also transform into a boat and drive right into Lake Buena Vista! Definitely a one-of-a-kind experience that you and your party will never forget!

With an amphicar ride you can enjoy a 20-minute cruise around Lake Buena Vista and take in the sights of Disney Springs. The Boathouse is the only place in the world that offers the experience of riding in one of these amazing vintage amphicars! The current price for this rare cruise is $125 per car. A great tip if you are interested in taking a ride and plan to dine at the Boathouse during lunch hours (11:00 am – 3:00pm), on your receipt you will receive an exclusive offer for $25 off an amphicar ride.

Consider visiting The Boathouse on your next Disney World vacation! You and your family and friends are sure to have a wonderful experience at this unique Disney Springs location!

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival with Kids!

The annual Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is a culinary paradise and many avid festival fans look forward to the event year after year! With so many food and drink offerings to try, the ‘Eat to the Beat’ concert series as well as many culinary and beverage seminars you can easily devote a full day of your vacation just to experiencing everything the Food and Wine Festival has to offer! For families with younger kids I’m sure this sounds like a wonderful time for grown-up fun. But what about younger guests?

Many families with young children often avoid events such as the Food and Wine Festival, thinking that their kids would have no interest in the event. However, the truth is there is plenty of fun and exciting things your kids will love to experience as you enjoy the festival! Disney’s main focus is always on family and finding ways for everyone in your party of all ages to have fun together. With that philosophy in mind Disney has crafted the Food and Wine Festival to include many fun and engaging experiences for younger guests! Here are a few of the fun offerings kids will love!

Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt

Featuring Remy from Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille, Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt is a wonderful activity that engages kids in exploring Epcot’s World Showcase! You can purchase a scavenger hunt package for $8.99 (plus tax.) The package includes a map of the World Showcase and a sheet of Remy stickers. Each World Showcase Pavilion has a Remy figurine hidden. Each hidden Remy features a different cooking ingredient. Using the stickers and map guests can match Remy’s hidden ingredients to the corresponding pavilion they found him in. Once your map is complete it can be redeemed for a prize! While your kids enjoy searching for Remy in each county you visit, you can enjoy savoring your food and wine items!

Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure

If your kids are fans of the hit Disney Channel show Phineas and Ferb then they are sure to love Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure featuring the show’s popular character Perry the Platypus Aka Agent P. Kids can be recruited for missions at kiosks located near the entrance to the World showcase promenade. Your young agents can be given an official FONE – code for Field Operative Notification Equipment to use, or opt to log in using your own smartphone. Once set up with their device they can receive their missions and search for clues throughout the World Showcase. The experience even includes interactive elements that children can activate and unveil special characters and surprises throughout the park! Similar to Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt this activity also encompasses the entire world showcases promenade, giving adults plenty of opportunities to sample festival offerings while kids enjoy completing their missions.

Kidcot Fun Stop

Kidcot Fun Stops are located in each pavilion of the World Showcase. Kids are given a free Duffy the Disney Bear or Perry the Platypus mask on a stick that they can color and create fun crafts with. At each pavilion children will receive a stamp on their mask representing that country. In some countries cast members can even write your child’s name in their native language. This is a great learning opportunity for kids to discover about new countries and cultures in a fun and exciting way!

‘Try It’ Festival Items

Who said trying new foods was just for grown-ups?! Get even your pickiest eaters excited to sample new foods with the Food and Wine “Try it” items. Be sure to pick up your Food and Wine Festival Passport guide to see the menus for each festival market place. On the menus you will notice a “Try it” logo next to a few select items. These offerings where picked by Disney chefs as being items that could be of interest to kids. Broaden your child’s culinary taste with these foods from around the world!

As you can see there is so much to experience for both adults and kids at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. We hope to see you and your family at this year’s event!

New! Grand Avenue & Baseline Tap House at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This past week Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort opened a brand new reimagined area for guests to enjoy. ‘Grand Avenue’ sits tucked beside the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and across from Star Tours and the Muppets Courtyard area on a small section of what used to be the “Streets of America” section of Hollywood Studios. Grand Avenue is themed to a Los Angeles street in the glamour of the modern, bustling city. The theming is complete with so much attention to detail, each shop window tells a story and contributes to the backstory of Grand Avenue.

BaseLine Tap House Debuts in the New Grand Avenue Area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Grand Avenue is the first newly reimagined area to open in the Hollywood Studios renovations. Next we will get to welcome Toy Story Land and later Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Grand Avenue will serve as an entrance way and transition area, leading you eventually through to where you will enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge from the main part of Hollywood Studios.

Grand Avenue is much more than just a beautiful new spot to relax in the park. It also brings us a brand new walk-up dinning location. ‘Baseline Tap House’ specializes in craft beers and some unique small plates. The lounge immerses you in the atmosphere of a trendy pub in downtown Los Angeles where you can sip on a variety of California brews and wines. Baseline Tap House is family friendly and also offers gourmet non- alcoholic drinks such as a lemonade and a specialty soda. Some small-bite items that can be enjoyed here include a Bavarian pretzel served with a mustered and beer cheese fondue, spiced almonds and a charcuterie board that features some wonderful California cheeses.

Grand Avenue along with The Baseline Tap House are wonderful new additions to Hollywood Studios! Be sure to check them out on your next trip to the park!

Be Our Guest! Magic Kingdom Restaurant

Tucked away inside New Fantsayland at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, you will find Be Our Guest Restaurant. The restaurant is a dream come true for a fan of the Beauty and the Beast film. You feel as though you have stepped right into the story!

The restaurant has three main dining areas, the main ballroom is the setting where Belle and beast shared their first dance together in the movie. This room is a romantic and beautiful spot to dine underneath the shimmering chandeliers! Next you can dine in the gallery. This is a very nice and quite room to enjoy your meal. On the walls are gorgeous photos of all of Belle and Beast’s adventures and in the center of the room sits a beautifully detailed music box softly playing beloved songs from the film. The third dining space is the West Wing. This room is more dark than the first two with ripped curtains, flashing lightening outside the window and even the infamous enchanted rose. It is defiantly a unique location to enjoy your meal!

For food here at Be Our Guest, visitors can enjoy a selection of French influenced dishes such as the croque monsieur, French onion soup, or braised pork.

My personal favorite is the braised pork, this dish is marinated in coffee for 24 hours, the meat is tender and so full of flavor.

We highly recommend Be Our Guest for your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. The memory of dining in the Beast castle is one you and your family will never forget!

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ at Disney Springs

Disney Springs (formerly known as Downtown Disney) has recently expanded and welcomed many exciting new additions. Disney Springs has become a hotspot for entertainment, shopping and some amazing food! It’s a great place to have fun and unwind after an action-packed day in the parks!

One of our new favorite Disney Springs restaurants is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.

Disney Springs theming immerses you into a waterfront town in Florida. Homecomin’ fits this environment perfectly because every ingredient here is fully sourced in the sunshine state! Homecomin’ serves the best in southern comfort food complete with a modern twist.

Everyone has heard of fried chicken and waffles. But what about fried chicken and donuts?! Yes, you heard me right, fried chicken and donuts is one example of southern comfort food reimagined that you can enjoy here!

The restaurant’s name has a significant meaning to the famous chef. Chef Art Smith participated in the Disney College Program in 1982, and now flash forward, he is proud to have his own restaurant at Disney. He has come full circle and this restaurant truly does represent his homecoming!

When we dined here we tried one of the menus staples, the fried chicken and donuts I mentioned before. This dish was fantastic! The fried chicken is done to a light and crispy perfection, accompanied by the stand out donut holes that bring in that sweet note. The two pair together perfectly in the best sweet and savory combination.

We also enjoyed the “Art’s” famous fried chicken. This dish is your classic fried chicken but with an added kick. This was another win for us, the spices brought the dish flavor with just the right amount of heat.  Some other dishes you may enjoy are the chopped pork barbecue plate, hanger steak, fried catfish, thigh high chicken biscuits, shrimp and grits and much more.

If you like southern comfort food definitely make Homecomin’ a stop on your next trip to Disney Springs!
