My Top 5 Snacks Around EPCOT’s World Showcase!

EPCOT is a food lovers paradise.  There are so many things to taste in all the 11 countries around World Showcase, not to mention all the additional food and drinks that come along with the four festivals that happen around the year.  But today I am going to focus on my favorite snacks that I have to get on my trip.  Let’s see if any of them are your favorites too!

Norway

In Norway there is a wonderful Café which is the Kringla Bakeri Café.  You will find many delicious Norwegian treat and sandwiches.  My choice here is the famous School bread.  This is a sweet bread roll, which is injected with vanilla custard and covered with sweet icing and toasted coconut.  The recipe comes from a classic Norwegian snack, which kids took to school in their packed lunches.

China

Here in China I always stop by the Joy of Tea cart to pick up a Bubble Milk Tea.  The tea I love is a sweetened peach flavored black tea with tapioca pearls.  This drink is creamy and decedent and I love to stroll the World Showcase while sipping!

Germany

You can smell my next stop before you even see it and that is the Karamell-Kuche shop.  This shop specializes in caramel treats of the maker’s of Werther’s Original Caramels.  The smell just pulls you into this shop and I grab a bag of their fresh popped caramel corn.  The popcorn is made fresh right there as you watch!

Japan

It is usually pretty hot in Florida and nothing can beat the heat like a nice refreshing cold treat.  That is why I stop by the Kaki Gori stand in Japan.  Kaki Gori is shaved ice with a sweet flavored syrup.  I always do the add on of the creamy sweetened milk which gives it a creamsicle taste.  Some of the flavors to choose from are strawberry, melon, cherry and tangerine.  If you can’t make up your mind you can ask for rainbow and get a little of everything!

France

Fall Festivals, Parties, Concerts & More Return to the Walt Disney World Resort Aug. 25

Here in France is a wonderful ice cream shop called L’Artisan des Glaces.  There are many flavors to choose from and even some special treats like ice cream filled macaroons.  My top two flavors are the Caramel Fleur de Sel Ice cream and Coco-white chocolate.  You cannot go wrong with any of the choices.

I hope you enjoyed my top five list and I am sure in the future, I’ll have some new favorites as the chefs are always coming up with new treats for us to try.

My Top Picks for Quick Service Locations at the Four Disney World Parks

In last weeks blog I discussed getting your Advanced Dining Reservations at Table Service Restaurants in Disney World.  In that blog I recommended that you not make reservations for every day of your vacation and to leave some days just to plan as you go and not be locked into any one location at a specific time.  This week I would like to give you my top picks at each park for a Quick Service Dining Option that is still really good food and not typical burgers and fries.

Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom hands down for me I always head to Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square.  There are so many of my favorites on this menu.  My personal favorites would be the Trio platter which has fried shrimp, breaded chicken breast nuggets and battered fish served with hushpuppies and choice of green beans & carrots or french fries.  Another fav is the chicken pot pie or some healthy options like the grilled salmon or Harbour salads.  There is plenty of seating in this location.  I always head upstairs and get a seat by a window to people watch as I enjoy my meal.

Animal Kingdom

My pick for Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree Barbecue and I have selected it for two reasons, the food and the atmosphere of this location’s seating.  Flame Tree is located in the Discovery Island section of the park and you will easily be able to find it by just following the incredible BBQ smell.  They have ribs, chicken and pulled pork.  I’ve tried them all and love them!  My go to is the smoked pulled pork sandwich served with coleslaw and signature baked beans.  I have heard a lot of rave reviews on their baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork so this is on my list to try next time.  As for the seating I mentioned, I like that it is outdoors and under nice shaded pavilions.  It is tucked away and I like to head to the area closest to the water overlooking Expedition Everest.  It is so quiet and peaceful down there and is the perfect place to recharge your energy for more exploring.

Hollywood Studios

I have to say that Hollywood Studios was always the park that I struggled to find a quick service location that had anything that I would highly recommend.  That was until Toy Story Land opened and with it Woody’s Lunch Box.  The menu here is not large by any means but everything I have tried has been delicious.  My favorite is their grilled three cheese sandwich and the tomato-basil soup.  The smoked turkey sandwich, totchos and BBQ Brisket melt are also good choices.  My only complaint is they need more seating so I recommend having someone stand in line to order while the rest of the family looks around for a family getting ready to leave and then grab it up quick.

EPCOT

Okay, I have left the best for last.  EPCOT is a foodie lovers park.  The quick service options here are endless and this is the one park where I have a hard time just giving you one pick, so I will break it down with a pick in Future World and then World Showcase.  In Future World I would head over to the Land Pavilion where Sunshine Seasons is located on the bottom floor.  This is a food court which has many options and you will be able to find something for everyone in your group.  There are different shops  within the court.  You can choose from:  Asian Noodles Shop, Grill Shop, Sandwich Shop, Soup & Salads Shop and of course a Bakery Shop to enjoy a sweet treat.  There is plenty of seating and if you plan your fast passes carefully this is where Soarin and Living with the Land and located.

In World Showcase there are many quick service locations each geared toward the cusine from the Country you are visiting.  Pick your favorite and you can’t go wrong.  I have to say I have had something from each that I have loved but if pressed to pick I’ll have to choose the fish and chips in the UK!

I hope you have enjoyed my quick service picks.  If this has made you hungry and wanting to plan your next Disney World trip please contact your Kingdom Magic Vacation travel planner to get started.

My Tips for Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World

Part of the fun of my Walt Disney World trips is looking forward to the food that I am going to get to eat.  Just as much as the rides and attractions, I look forward to the dining experiences that Disney World has to offer.  With four parks and the entire Disney Springs Area there are so many options to choice from when selecting a place to dine.

If you are a Disney Resort Hotels guest, you can start booking your dining reservations 180 days in advance of your trip and can make reservations for the entire length of your Resort stay – up to 10 days.  If you are staying off Disney property, you can still make reservations 180 days in advance of that first day of your trip and continue to make reservations as each 180 day mark arrives.

I think advance dining is great!  It guarantees that you will have your most important reservations that you want to experience.  This 180 day mark is extremely important not to miss if you have your heart set on reservations like Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant.  There are also some very popular restaurants like the Contemporary Resort’s California Grill and The Polynesians Resort’s Ohana.  These are restaurants that if you would like a reservation there I would suggest booking as soon as possible.

Now with all of that being said, I do not want to overwhelm you by thinking that you need to schedule every meal this far in advance.  Remember that this is your vacation and I do not know about you but the last thing I want to do is stress out while planning or enjoying vacation.  As I said before there are so many restaurants at Walt Disney World that even during your trip you will be able to find really good Table service dining reservations available.  When you schedule yourself out for every meal, you really lock yourself into being at a certain place at a certain time, which can add a lot of stress.  You never know what may change your plans such as the weather could be bad and you change where you want to be that day.  The last thing you want is to feel stressed because you now cannot change because you are locked into a dining reservation.  Disney does charge usually a $10 per person for no shows or reservations cancelled less than 24 hours in advance.

My suggestion is to schedule your must have reservations and then leave some of your vacation days wide open to do whatever you wish.  There are also so many really good Quick Service Dining options at Disney that are not just your traditional burgers and fries.  In an upcoming blog, I will give you a list of some of my favorite Quick Service locations at each park.  In addition, you will want to keep in mind the time of year you are visiting because EPCOT has so many festivals involving good food offerings that if this is something you enjoy you will want to have some of the meals while eating around the World Showcase.

If hope this helps you with planning dining on your next Walt Disney World trip and if you are thinking of planning your next trip your Kingdom Magic Vacation Travel Planner will be happy to assist.

Dining at Toledo at Disney’s Grand Destino Tower

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort recently went through many exciting enhancements! The biggest of these enhancements being the addition of Gran Destino Tower. This new tower is home to 545 guest rooms. Fifty of these guest rooms being suites. The tower is beautiful! Here you will find rich touches of Spanish architecture mixed with a fresh, modern and contemporary feel!

Our team stayed at Disney’s Coronado Springs on our most recent company event last month. We loved taking in the beauty of this resort during our time there and getting to explore the luxurious new Gran Destino Tower.

At the very top of Gran Destino tower sits a new Disney restaurant, Toledo! Toledo is known for their great Tapas, Steak & Seafood. This luxurious restaurant is themed after a Spanish haven inspired by surrealist art and the 1930s avant-garde. This restaurant has a very relaxed feel to it. It is classic and sophisticated, yet still so warm and inviting all at the same time.

By far my favorite part of this amazing restaurant was the views! Being on the top floor of Gran Destino Tower you can enjoy views all over Disney World property. It very much reminded me of the experience of being at one of my other favorite Disney restaurants, the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Similar to how Toledo sits at the top of Gran Destino Tower, the California Grill sits on the top floor of the Contemporary Resort. If you have ever dined at the California Grill then you will know that the views from the top are simply breathtaking. Out the restaurant’s windows you can see gorgeous views of Seven Seas Lagoon, Bay Lake, the Magic Kingdom Resorts and even over into Magic Kingdom Park!

From Toledo, you get that same feeling as over at California Grill with the beautiful views this restaurant offers! At Toledo you get birds-eye views of a whole different area of property. Here at this location you are close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can see some of the icons of these nearby parks from up above! I loved at night spotting the tall pieces of rock work in the distance that are a part of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge over at Hollywood Studios. At night, these rock formations of the land are all illuminated in a purple color. It was so cool seeing this from up at Toledo.

The menu here has something for everyone. They are known for their steak and seafood. So, whether you are in the mood for surf or turf you will find something you like here! I can’t wait to get back to Toledo soon for the great food and spectacular views!

My Favorite Items of the 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

The Epcot International Food and Wine Festival is an event that I look forward to every year! Just like looking forward to a holiday or birthday, I love the excitement and anticipation that comes before getting to attend this great Epcot festival! I always enjoying getting to feast upon my favorite items that our returning from previous years. I also love the thrill of getting to expand my palate and try something brand new at the event!

This year’s 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival started on August 29th and is running this year through November 23rd. I was able to attend this year’s festival on two different trips during this 2019 season. I was in Disney World in August during the opening week of the Food and Wine Festival and I just recently returned from a family vacation to Disney two weeks ago and got to partake in more food and wine fun then!

I enjoyed getting to spend time in Epcot on these trips and getting the opportunity to sample a lot of Food and Wine Festival items! So now that I have experience this year’s 2019 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, I am so excited to bring you my list of my favorite items I enjoyed:

Baked Shrimp and Scallop Scampi Dip

Festival Marketplace: Coastal Eats

This was an item that was a first for me to try at this year’s festival. I am a big fan of seafood and this Baked Shrimp and Scallop Scampi Dip from Coastal eats was a winner for sure. You get a lot of nice pieces of shrimp and 2 whole scallops in the dip itself making this item a great value. It also was a nice portion size and very rich in flavor making this item great to share. This item was served along with a generous amount of bread slices to accompany the dish. I will definitely be getting this item in the future!

Suja Organic Kombucha Flight

Festival Marketplace: Earth Eats

This was an item that was another first for me to try at this year’s festival. It was the Kombucha Flight. I recently was introduced to what kombucha is and have enjoyed buying it to enjoy at home for the health benefits that this drink provides. When I saw that the Earth Eats booth had kombucha at this year’s festival, I knew I had to try it! Earth Eats had 3 variations of kombucha that they sold, a green apple, a pineapple passionfruit and a ginger lemon. You could order these individually or get them in a flight like I did so you can sample all three. They were all excellent but I have to say that the green apple was my favorite!

Smoked Corned Beef

Festival Marketplace: Flavors from Fire

The Smoked Corned Beef has been around the Food and Wine Festival since the Flavors from Fire Booth first premiered. I have had this particular item every year since then and it remains on my list as a must get dish because it is that good! This item features corn beef, crisp potatoes, cheese curds, pickled onions and to top it all off – a beer-cheese fondue! All of these flavors accompany each other so perfectly making one unbelievable dish! The beef is always so tender and just melts in your mouth! I love this item!

Mala Chicken and Shrimp Bao Bun

Festival Marketplace: China

I am a huge fan of bao buns! I get so excited any time I see a bao bun on a menu. China typically has a bao bun at the Food and Wine Festival each year. Something that I love is that each year they mix it up with a different variation of a bao bun. This year inside the bao bun was a mix of both chicken and shrimp. I really enjoyed this take on one of my favorite food items!

Warm Indian Bread

Festival Marketplace: India

I consider this item to be one of the many hidden gems at this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This item consisted of pieces of delicious traditional Indian naan bread served alongside 3 dipping sauces. If you have ever been to Sanna, the restaurant over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge then you know that they are known for their naan bread that you can enjoy with their selection of sauces. This is one of my favorite things to enjoy on Disney property and this item at the Food and Wine Festival felt like a miniature Sanna bread service experience! The 3 sauces that came with this Indian bread at the festival were a pickled garlic sauce, a mango salsa and a coriander pesto. My personal favorite was the mango salsa!

I hope you enjoyed hearing about my highlights from this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! Contact your Kingdom Magic Vacation’s Travel Planner today to plan your next magical vacation!

Blaze Pizza in Disney Springs, A Great Quick Service Option

When you are in Disney Springs and are looking for a delicious meal but want a less expensive option I have the perfect place for you to try and that is Blaze Pizza.  At Blaze, you can customize your own fast-fired 11” artisanal pizza pie and choose from over 40 tasty toppings and sauces.

You can create your own pizza for under $10.00 and that is a really good bargain for such a delicious pizza.  On my last visit my mom and I shared a pizza and it was plenty for lunch and made this a really budget friendly option.  It’s always good to find ways to save money in Disney World.  This will give you an excuse to splurge on a little shopping!

Blaze Pizza also has some signature pizzas you can choose from and also, they are a very good choice for certain dietary need as they have a gluten free dough choice as well as a Keto and Cauliflower dough.  During my latest lunch with them my mom and I choose the Keto crust with red sauce, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and a drizzle of olive oil.  It was yummy!

Another thing I like about Blaze is their drink options.  The fountain drink station has many soft drink options as well as fresh brewed ice tea and some signature lemonades.  I really enjoyed the blood orange lemonade and my mom made her own Arnold Palmer by mixing the fresh brewed tea with the lemonade.

The day we ate here was a perfect day to sit outside on their porch which overlooks the beautiful Disney Springs.  We sat there and enjoyed our meal and watched the Flights of Wonder balloon taking guests on flights over Disney Springs.

I would highly recommend trying Blaze Pizza out for yourself on your next Walt Disney World trip.  Contact your Kingdom Magic Vacations travel planner to start planning your next Disney trip!

Best Treat at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

This past week I attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom park in Walt Disney World! This Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event that takes place on select nights throughout the fall season in Magic Kingdom. This event is family friendly and focuses more on the fun side of Halloween! It is the perfect balance of spooky thrills mixed with cute decorations and fun costumes! There is something for everyone!

An iconic part of Halloween for many of us is candy and all things involving sweets and treats! At Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party you will have the opportunity to actually trick or treat in the Magic Kingdom! Guests of all ages can feel like a kid again as they visit special treat locations throughout the park and receive candy and other yummy snack items.

In addition to stocking up on candy and treats from the complimentary treat locations around the park, you can also purchase specialty treats. These specialty treats are exclusively available just during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I tried a few of these specialty desserts and there was one particular one that stood out to me as my favorite!

My favorite dessert of this year’s 2019 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was the Haunted Mansion inspired wedding cake! This cake was meant to look like a small personal size version of the bride from the Haunted Mansion Constance’s wedding cake! The dessert is named “Constance’s for Better or For Worse Wedding Cake” This treat is a Halloween Party Exclusive! It can be purchased at the Liberty Square Popcorn Cart.

This dessert is a citrus-scented cake with raspberry Bavarian cream, white chocolate glaze, icing pearls, flowers, and is topped with a chocolate axe. This cake had a moose consistency and was very light and decadent.

Every aspect of this treat made me a fan! From the fun theming inspired by my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction – to the fact that it was the most delicious and unique tasting treat I enjoyed on my vacation! Be sure to say “I do” to this cake when you visit Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year! Contact your Kingdom Magic Vacations Travel Planner today to plan your next adventure.

Everything You Need To Know About The Disney Dining Plan!

So you’re planning for your Walt Disney World vacation and trying to make a budget for how much money you will spend in while in Disney World.  One of the biggest expenses you will have is food for your family.  One way to make sure that your food is budgeted in before you even leave is to add on the Disney Dining Plan.  This plan is available for resort guests who book a Resort Hotel Package.

The Disney Dining Plan will purchase you a certain number of meals for each day of your vacation.  Each person on your reservation will receive an allotment of quick service meals, which are like your fast food meals, table service or sit down meals, and snacks.  The number of meals you get will depend on the Dining Plan that you choose.  There are three plans to choose from, The Quick Service Dining Plan, The Regular Dining Plan and the Deluxe Dining Plan.  Let us take a look at what each plan offers and the price currently for 2019 so you can determine if one of these plans works best for your family and how you usually like to eat.

Quick Service Dining Plan

-2 quick service meals

-2 snacks

-1 refillable mug

Cost is $52.50 per night for Adults 10 year and older and $23.78 for children 3-9 years of age

Regular Dining Plan

-1 table-service meal

-1 quick-service meal

-2 snacks

-1 refillable mug

Cost is $75.49 per night for Adults 10 years and older and $27.98 for children 3-9 years of age

Deluxe Dining Plan

-2 snacks

-1 refillable mug

Cost is $116.25 per night for Adults 10 years and older and $43.49 for children 3-9 years of age

If you purchase the dining plan it will be very easy to use.  Your MagicBand or card that Disney gives you when you book your trip will have all your credits loaded on it and will electronically monitor what you use during your vacation.  At the end of each meal your receipt you receive will show you the number of meals remaining for each room on your booking.  This will help you keep track of you balance.  You can redeem your meals and snacks in any order during your trip until your balance is zero or until midnight of the night you check out.

At certain times of the year, Disney will run a promotion that includes a Free Disney Dining Package with your resort stay.  If this interests you then you will want to be in contact with your Kingdom Magic Vacations Travel Planner so that when this offer becomes available they can let you know as soon as possible because the number of these packages are limited when released.

I hope that this gives you a better understanding of the Disney Dining Package and can help you make a decision if the package works for you and can help you budget your next Walt Disney World trip.

My Perfect Day at Magic Kingdom!

Any day at Disney is an amazing day! If you frequent the Disney Parks often then you will definitely agree that there are some PERFECT park days! Days that you get to experience all of your personal favorite things and fill your day with what you enjoy the most! Today I am excited to share with you what my perfect day at the Magic Kingdom would be from start to finish! I hope that my plans for my ideal Magic Kingdom day give you some idea you might want to try out for your next visit!

Rope Drop!

If we are talking about my perfect day, we might as well start at the very beginning! There are a lot of benefits to getting to the park early right when the park opens, aka rope drop. You can often enjoy less crowds in the park at this early hour and for me personally there is something truly magical about the early morning atmosphere in Magic Kingdom! The morning sun is hitting the castle and lighting up Main Street USA with a warm glow! It is beautiful!

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it is very important to get fueled up for an incredible park day ahead! I would plan to go to Starbucks on Main Street to grab a breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee. I mentioned how much I love Main Street in the early mornings. I would plan to enjoy my Starbucks sitting in the outside seating area just off of Main Street to take in the sights!

Mine Train

As I mentioned morning is a great time to enjoy the parks with less crowds. This means you can enjoy lower wait times on many of the more popular attractions! My best advice is to get in line for any rides that you really want to ride and were unable to get a fast pass for early in your day at the park so you guarantee you get to experience them! For me my favorite more popular attraction in Magic Kingdom is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! I would plan to head straight to this attraction to wait in line!

Fast Passes

After achieving my favorite attractions that I did not have a fast pass for I would plan to move on to riding attractions using my fast passes. Fast passes are so wonderful to utilize when in Disney.  Every Disney guest receives 3 complimentary fast passes with their ticket. These fast passes give you a reserved time for certain attractions and you can enter the ride or show through a special fast pass queue and experience little to no wait! When you stay on Disney property you can book fast passes 60 days in advance rather than 30 days in advance for all other guests. This gives you a better chance to guarantee you get to experience all the rides you want. Another reason why staying on Disney property can give you so many perks!

Lunch

Somewhere in between my fast passes for the day I would plan to break for lunch and visit a Disney quick service location. My personal favorite is Columbia Harbor House! My go to meal here is the chicken pot pie! It is incredible! The seating area here at this location is great! They even offer upstairs seating which tends to be more quiet than downstairs in the main dining hall. There is even a room upstairs that has windows overlooking the connecting pathway between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. It is a great view! Perfect for people watching!

More Attractions

Once I have used all my fast passes for the day I would plan to ride attractions that typically have a low wait time. My personal favorite is the Tomorrowland People Mover! This attraction gives you a birdseye view of Tomorrowland and incredible views over to Cinderella Castle!

New Photo Capture Coming to Pirates of Caribbean at Magic Kingdom Park on June 19

Dinner

My favorite restaurant in all of Magic Kingdom for dinner is Be Our Guest! This restaurant makes you feel as though you have actually stepped inside the story of Beauty and the Beast as you dine in the Beast’s Castle! The food is excellent! I have been here several times and have always loved my meal! My favorite thing to get is the braised pork that is marinated in coffee for 24 hours. It melts in your mouth!

Fireworks!

Ending your day with Disney fireworks is a must! The Disney Fireworks are an iconic part of many people’s vacations! The current fireworks show at Disney is Happily Ever after and it is my favorite fireworks display I have ever seen Disney put on! Don’t miss it!

Diamond Horseshoe Dining Review – Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World

On my most recent visit to Magic Kingdom this week I enjoyed a brand new dining experience that I had never previously done! I ate at the Diamond Horseshoe inside the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! I had a wonderful experience here at this restaurant! Everything was incredible from the delicious food to the charming western atmosphere!

Diamond Horseshoe is located back in Frontierland inside the Magic Kingdom Park. For some time this dining location was only open seasonally and for special events so it was always a challenge to try to experience this restaurant. For a while when this location would be open it was a quick service dining location. Now Diamond Horseshoe is one of Magic Kingdom’s newest table service locations! You can either order off the menu or choose to enjoy the buffet!

The restaurant menu has a wide mix of American-style flavors. They are known for their barbecue! The cuisine is definitely comfort food. I was dining here with my friends who are vegan and they were so excited to check out the vegan stuffed peppers! I am not vegan myself but I do love stuffed peppers and I was interested in what the vegan version would taste like so I also ordered this dish!

The service was wonderful, the chef came to our table to talking about the vegan options on the menu and answered everyones dietary questions. The cast members were all very knowledgeable about the menu! I really enjoy the meal I had! The vegan stuffed peppers were so fresh! The meat substitute was from Impossible Foods and was seasoned to perfection! It tasted very similar to real meat.

The atmosphere is very fun and charming! You feel like you have stepped into a western saloon! There is even a stage with a player piano that sets the tone for this incredibly themed restaurant. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience at Diamond Horseshoe! Be sure to check this restaurant out on your next visit to Magic Kingdom! In the heart of Disney Springs, you will find Wine Bar George, an estate-style wine bar offering over 130 wine selections from acclaimed wineries and up-and-coming regions. All of these exquisite wines have been hand-selected by Master Sommelier George Miliotes. Wine Bar George is a great spot to relax and enjoy the evening while at Disney Springs! I have visited Wine Bar George once and had a wonderful experience. We stopped in towards the end of our night at Disney Springs just to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine before heading back to our resort. I enjoyed a glass of the La Perlina, a moscato from Veneto, Italy.

The staff was so welcoming and very knowledgeable. They took their time with us and found out what we enjoyed and then made suggestions for what we would enjoy. Whether you are a wine aficionado or a novice, this place is very approachable! I can’t wait to go back to Wine bar George in the future! As I mentioned we just stopped in for a quick drink, on my next visit I would love to try some of the other menu offerings and have the full experience of everything Wine Bar George has to offer!

The item on the brunch menu that has everyone buzzing is the Dole Whip Mimosa! That’s right! Wine Bar George is taking the iconic Disney Parks snack, the pineapple Dole Whip and creating a one-of-a-kind mimosa drink! As a huge fan of the Disney Dole Whip, I am so excited to try this new mimosa!

What I am Excited to Try!

Here are a few of the menu items that I am most excited for! I already mentioned how pumped I am to try the Dole Whip Mimosa! I have a feeling that this will be a fan favorite at the Brunch! I am also interested to try the Wine Country Omelet. This omelet includes an artichoke asparagus olive and tomato medley! I also think that ‘The Big Board’ sounds awesome and would be perfect to share! This board features a Chef’s selection of six artisanal cheeses and five crafted meats with condiments.

This brand-new brunch at Wine Bar George is sure to be an awesome new addition to the great lineup of dining experiences at Disney Springs! I will definitely be checking out Wine Bar George’s Wine Country Brunch very soon! Disney Dining Review of Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World

If you have been following our blog then you may remember that on my most recent vacation with my family to the Walt Disney World Resort, one night of our trip I met up with some of my wonderful Kingdom Magic Vacations Travel Planner friends and we enjoyed a very fun night at Storybook Dining at Artist Point! On this same evening, my parents headed to the Magic Kingdom to enjoy a meal at a restaurant they had both never been to before, Liberty Tree Tavern. They loved their experience here so much that we are now talking about all making a reservation here together on our next trip! I am very excited about this because I have never dined here but I have always wanted to! Now hearing how much my parents enjoyed their meal  I am all the more excited to check Liberty Tree Tavern out for myself!  I sat down with my parents and they described their dinner experience.  I will share with you now what they told me.

They were looking for a last minute reservation and really wanted a sit down meal at Magic Kingdom instead of counter service.  They checked on My Disney Experience and were able to secure a reservation at Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Tree Tavern for the exact time they wanted.  They checked in at the restaurant and were told to have a seat in the waiting area, which was very Colonial looking with a field stone hearth in the center.  When their table was ready, the hostess announced from across the room “Hear Ye Hear Ye Liberty Tree Tavern welcomes the Przychodzien Family from Pennsylvania”.  The restaurant has a few different rooms and is decorated in a Colonial Williamsburg theme.

Their server explained that the meal would be all you care to enjoy and that they could ask for more of anything that they liked.  Dinner rolls and a large bowl of salad came out first.  Both my parents loved the salad and said it was so fresh and the dressing was light and very delicious.

Since it was just the two of them, they were each served their own plate with all of the food offerings on it.  Other larger parties were served family style with large platters of the food that they could plate themselves.  The meal consisted of roast turkey breast, pot roast, carved pork with mashed potatoes, stuffing, dressing, green beans and cranberry.  They also received a bowl of mac and cheese.  They both enjoyed their meals very much and said it was just like your traditional Thanksgiving feast without all of the work!  They loved the turkey breast and pot roast best and said that all the sides were very good.  Neither of them asked for seconds of anything because they said the portion size they received was big enough, they could not finish it all and they still had dessert coming!

A platter of three desserts were brought to them which consisted of warm banana cake with butter pecan ice cream-salted caramel and candied pecans, apple fritters with powdered sugar and maple caramel and then their famous ooey gooey toffee cake.  They said all three desserts were good but the best was the ooey gooey toffee cake, which is their signature dessert.  They said it lived up to the hype!

The meal was $38.00 a person for guests ages 10 and over and $21.00 for guests 3 to 9.  My parents felt it was an excellent value for everything you got with beverages and dessert included.  Like I said earlier they plan to return to this restaurant and next time I am making sure I am with them to experience all this yummy food for myself!

Spirit Of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Walt Disney World VIDEO

I always say that the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels are vacations within themselves! From the amenities to the details in the resort’s theming, the Walt Disney World Resort can truly immerse you in a whole other vacation destination within your current vacation destination! This is absolutely the case at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort located on the Magic Kingdom Resort monorail loop! At this resort you will be convinced you are in the islands! Just strolling the resort’s grounds you will be in awe by how the lush greenery and tropical plants transport you to a serene paradise!

It is here at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort that you will find one of the most popular dinner shows on all of Disney World property, the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show! This authentic Hawaiian luau is so much more than just a great meal and show, it is an entire experience!

This meal is a true feast, served family style to your table! Your server will keep refilling your plate with whatever you would like to enjoy more of, so you can help yourself to all your favorites! Select alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine are also included for free for guest old enough to enjoy them.

The show at the luau is so fun and entertaining while also being filled with a ton of heart. You will walk away knowing having learned more about the spirit and culture of Hawaii! You will have a deeper appreciation for the meaning of Ohana, the Hawaiian word for family!

The first half of the show is filled with exciting dances and even some fun crowd interactions. The second half of the show then really heats up! Literally! One will see an incredible Hawaiian fire dancer! This act is something you have to see to believe! During this section of the show every eye in the the house is just fixated on the stage anticipating what this talented fire performer will do next! During this section of the show there is also some more traditional Hawaiian hula dances and songs. It is a beautiful presentation that is authentic to the Hawaiian culture!

The Spirit of Aloha Dinner show is sure to be a hit with everyone in your party! This is also a very special experience if you are looking for a unique way to celebrate a milestone at Disney and want to do something extra special. My family and I did this experience to celebrate my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary! Disney made the experience so magical. When cast members heard what we were celebrating they presented my grandparents both with special Hawaiian leis. The entire evening made for a truly incredible family memory!

I hope you will check this show out with your own Ohana very soon!

NEW IllumiNations Dining Package Coming to Epcot’s Rose & Crown! Walt Disney World

2019 is going to be a very big year for Walt Disney World! There are many new and exciting attractions and experiences coming to the park THIS YEAR! One of the new changes that we can look forward to seeing later this year is the brand-new Epcot night-time spectacular! I personally am so excited to see what this new show will bring to Epcot. However, the bitter-sweet part about this is that the well-loved current Epcot show, IllumiNation: Reflection of Earth will be ending later this year to make way for the new replacement show. I will be sad to see IllumiNations leave, I have many memories watching this show and singing along to it’s amazing soundtrack after a fun-filled day in Epcot!

I am definitely going to be sure to catch IllumiNations as often as I can in these next few months before it is gone. IllumiNation: Reflection of Earth will be ending its run before the end of this summer of 2019 to make way for Epcot’s new night-time spectacular. If you also want to catch IllumiNations before it leaves the park later this year then you are in luck because Disney has announced a great new dining package that will give you the chance to enjoy a great meal and take in the show from an incredible vantage point!

This new dining package is offered at The Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room located in Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion. The package will include a meal with seating on The Rose & Crown Pub’s patio! From the patio of this restaurant you will enjoy a fantastic view of IllumiNations! The perspective of the show that you get from this location is breathtaking! You are so close to the lagoon and can feel like you are immersed in the show! Another pro to getting this special reserved seating is not having to wait hours to get a perfect view anywhere else in the park. IllumiNations is a very popular show and crowds are sure to be even larger these next few month as it is the last few presentation of the show. Many guests will plan to get an up-close spot hours before the show begins. Due to this you may have a hard time finding an unobstructed viewing area to watch the show. You can choose to wait far in advance for that perfect fireworks spot but everyone knows your time on vacation is so valuable that’s why a package like this is a wonderful option to help you make the most of your time in the park!

This dining package includes a prix fixe menu which features Rose & Crown favorites AND unlimited alcoholic beverages (for guests 21 and over) as well as a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages! The meal offerings for the IllumiNations Dining Package features your choice of a Scotch Egg or the United Kingdom Cheese Platter as your starter.

For your entrée, your choices include Rose & Crown’s signature Fish and Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Pan-roasted Scottish Salmon, or Bangers and Mash. For dessert, you will enjoy a Pudding Platter Trio featuring Sticky Toffee Pudding, English Trifle, and Chocolate Nougat Bar.

As always Disney has thought of everyone in the party! Kids can get their own prix fixe package. This kid’s meal will offer soup or salad with their choice of Cheese and Turkey Flatbread, Turkey Meatball Pasta, Cheesy Pasta, or Fish and Chips as well as either Fruit Salad or Trifle for dessert.

Bookings will open on January 17th for reservations starting on January 18th. The price is $85 for adults and $35 for children (tax and gratuity included). I am so excited about this new offering and definitely want to check this experience out for myself! As I mentioned before this is a great way to guarantee you will get an incredible view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth so that you can see it to its fullest before the replacement show comes later this year.
