Chance To Reign Over Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 26

Fans know her as the twisted right-hand woman of Halloween Horror Nights legend, Jack the Clown. Victims know her as the last, cackling face they see before a tortuous demise.

And now, the world will know her as the merciless force behind Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights 26.

chance

This year, Chance will step into the spotlight as the star of the nation’s best Halloween event. Universal Studios Florida will become her stage – where she will take guests on a journey inside her twisted mind as she struggles with what is performance vs. what is real. Guests will find themselves in a surreal world of horror filled with nine all-new haunted houses, elaborately sinister scare zones and outrageous live shows. They will even come face-to-face with Chance in her very own demented haunted house and scare zone.

Tickets are on sale now for this year’s highly anticipated event, including single-night tickets, Frequent Fear passes, special Florida resident offers and more. Guests can also purchase a vacation package that includes a ticket to the event, accommodations at Universal’s newest onsite resort hotel, Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, and more.

Celebrate Halloween and Oktoberfest This Month in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort

October is all about seasonal celebrations in the restaurants, shops and entertainment venues of the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. Whether your taste runs to harvest, Halloween or “hoisting” a beverage for the occasion, the Downtown Disney District offers something for every age and every member of the family.

Pumpkin is one of the predominant tastes of the season, and there is plenty to taste at locations throughout the Downtown Disney District: a pumpkin churro from the California Churro cart, a pumpkin macaroon from Kayla’s Cakes, Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks and a pumpkin smoothie made with almond milk, pumpkin, bananas and a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg at Jamba Juice.

Halloween celebrants can enjoy an evening of “Scary-Oke,” including costume and karaoke contests, at Crossroads at House of Blues on Saturday, Oct. 31. LittleMissMatched is offering a Buy 3 Get One Free deal on limited-edition Halloween-themed socks.

And if, inspired by Haunted Mansion Holiday, you’d like to construct your own haunted gingerbread house, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen will offer a Haunted Gingerbread House Building Workshop from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24. A Gingerbread Kit and two seats at the work table are available for $48; additional seats would be $12 apiece.

Meanwhile, October brings with it the opportunity to show your Bavarian side with the celebration of Oktoberfest. Uva Bar is currently offering an Oktoberfest-inspired menu through October 31. Crossroads at House of Blues will have a special Oktoberfest Celebration this Saturday, Oct. 10, featuring specialty menu items, a stein-hoisting competition and a pretzel eating contest. Meanwhile, a special Oktoberfest menu at House of Blues features grilled bratwurst, schnitzel, apple strudel and giant Bavarian pretzels.

It’s a full month of October events at the Downtown Disney District. Choose your celebration!

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights Celebrates 25 Years With More Nights and More Scares

By day, guests at Universal Orlando Resort are propelled into some of pop culture’s most iconic and beloved stories – laughing as they experience cutting-edge attractions and screaming as they brave plummeting roller coasters.

But there’s another, darker side to Universal Orlando.

On select nights in September and October, guests sprint away in paralyzing fear. They scream uncontrollably. Their nightmares come to life at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights.

Now, guests can be among the first to book a vacation package that combines the excitement of Universal Orlando’s two world-class theme parks by day and heart-pumping horror of Halloween Horror Nights by night.

hhn-25

Consistently ranked the nation’s best, Halloween Horror Nights is the ultimate Halloween event, attracting guests from around the world. From the moment guests step inside the event’s gates, they become a victim inside their own horror film. The streets of Universal Studios Florida are transformed into highly-themed scare zones, brought to life with elaborate scenery and teams of menacing “scare-actors” that lunge from the shadows and tactically hunt guests as prey.

Multiple haunted houses are erected throughout the theme park, rivaling the most detailed and terrifying of movie sets. Once inside, guests shriek their way through an unpredictable, multi-sensory labyrinth based on anything from iconic slasher films to hit horror video games to haunting original stories created by Universal’s Entertainment team.

This fall, Halloween Horror Nights will mark its milestone 25th year as the biggest, longest and most intense in event history. It will run for a record-breaking 30 nights, including the following event dates:

  • Sept. 18-19, 24-25, 26-27
  • Oct. 1-4, 7-11, 14-18, 21-25, 28-31
  • Nov. 1

Details about the newly-announced Halloween Horror Nights 25 Hotel & Ticket Package are available HERE. Additional details about the event will be announced at a later date.

5 Simple Tips To Enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

If you are anything like us, you love Fall and Halloween at the Magic Kingdom and especially Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  These parties are extra special events where they close the Magic Kingdom to regular park guests and bring in some extra special Halloween decorations and treats that you can only experience at the Party!

Here are 5 tips to help you enjoy these parties and get the most treats with no tricks!

1.  This is a Family Friendly Event  – Like the name implies, this is a Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  Unlike other Orlando Theme Parks, Walt Disney World offers a purely family-friendly environment that is suitable for children of all ages.  There are some dark areas, but if your kids loves the Haunted Mansion, that is about as dark as the entire evening gets!

2.  Wear A Costume – Children are always allowed to wear Princess Outfits or Pirate Costumes in Disney Parks, but adults do not have that luxury…except for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties!  As long as you wear a costume that does not cover your face (ie. a full head or face mask) you are welcome to enjoy the party.  Remember, it’s still pretty warm in Orlando during the Fall, so make sure that your costume is lightweight an not too heavy!

5 Simple Tips To Enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

3.  Trick Or Treat All Night Long – During the party, there are several locations located all around the Magic Kingdom…and you can trick-or-treat as much as you want.  You can return as much as you want and as the night progresses, many Cast Members often become more generous in their treat giving.  We suggest bringing your own bag though…the bags that Disney provides are a little small.

4.  Arrive A Little Early – Even though Mickey’s Party officially starts at 7 p.m., which is when all of the entertainment actually begins, guests can enter with their Halloween Party tickets as early as 4 p.m. This is not something Walt Disney World advertises, but it absolutely is true, and you will see plenty of other guests arriving at 4 p.m., and Cast Members in their Halloween outfits at the turnstiles.  This allows you to enjoy a full 8 hours inside the park, for 1/2 the price!

5.  Make Time to Meet Characters – Haloweentime is one of the best times to meet your favorite Disney Characters, and during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary parties, all your favorite characters are dressed in special Trick-or-treat costumes!  Past favorites are Winnie the Pooh and friends, Snow White, and all 7 dwarfs – they are all not to be missed!!

5 Simple Tips To Enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Mickey’s No-So-Scary Halloween Parties are Hard Ticketed events, which means you have to buy a separate ticked for entrance to the party.  The parties run on select nights in September and October from 7:00 pm to Midnight.

Every Role a Starring Role – Disneyland Resort Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Bellhop

Happy Halloween! On a stormy Halloween night in 1939, a bellhop and four others stepped aboard a Hollywood Tower Hotel elevator and into the fifth dimension. To mark the anniversary of their disappearance, Disneyland Resort cast member Bryan Higashi will tell you about his role hosting guests at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, whenever they drop in!

Couple Creates a Disney Halloween Celebration in Their Own Back (and Front) Yard

Have any of you brightened up your home or yard with Disney Halloween decorations this year?

Then check out the home of Central Florida residents Mickey and Minnie Baus (yep, “Baus” rhymes with “mouse”). They’re a couple of Disney Parks fanatics who annually entertain their neighborhood with an illuminating display of Disney decor in the weeks leading up to Halloween.

Over the weekend, Mickey and Minnie were nice enough to take a few minutes away from their annual Halloween party – for which they dressed as ultimate Disney tourists – to show off this year’s display, which includes a plethora of Disney inflatables, handmade Disney decorations, and much, much more! Check it out below.

The Art of Pumpkin Sculpting at Disneyland Park

It takes great effort for me to cut out the eyes – or triangles – on a pumpkin, let alone a gaping mouth with a missing tooth or two. Even then, it’s usually a crooked face at best. I’m sure some of you reading this can relate. That’s probably why the pumpkins at the Halloween Carnival at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree fascinate me. They are works of art created by our pumpkin sculptors. Yes – they are pumpkin sculptors, not pumpkin carvers. This video shows their considerable talent as they transform pumpkins into popular Disney characters. Enjoy!

Behind the Scenes: Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread House at Disneyland Park

If you’ve seen Haunted Mansion Holiday this year, you know how impressive the 9-foot-tall gingerbread house, which Pam first told you about in August, has turned out – and if you haven’t, you still have until January 6 to check it out! Today we’re taking you behind the scenes of the creation of Jack’s gingerbread house with Brian “The Pumpkin King” Sandahl, Senior Designer for Disney Entertainment Creative Development. See how his team of talented designers and bakers brought one of our tallest gingerbread houses to life for the Halloween and Holiday seasons.

A Night at Mickey’s Halloween Party in Disneyland Park

If you’ve never been to Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland park, I’m here to tell you – you’re missing out on a good time. Spooky surprises await around every corner, in addition to exclusive entertainment like “Halloween Screams” fireworks spectacular and Mickey’s Costume Party Cavalcade – which you can see below as it makes its way into Town Square.

The whole park is under a Halloween spell, from “it’s a small world” …

If you go, keep an eye out for eerie entertainers, like Mr. Key Daver performing in the Golden Horseshoe …

… and my personal favorite, the Cadaver Dans, performing from their bewitched barge along the Rivers of America.

But of course, no visit to Mickey’s Halloween Party is complete without a trip through a few treat trails! Any party veteran can tell you about the bag full of sweet and good-for-you treats that you’ll be going home with at the end of the night.
