Today, we’re sharing a look at how you can soak up the sun and celebrate with us.

Disney Parks in Full Bloom for Spring

We’re excited to share that as part of Shanghai Disney Resort’s first spring season, we recently kicked off a brand new Egg-tastic Celebration. This 10-day festival is filled with plenty of Easter-inspired events and entertainment, including a scavenger hunt, surprise appearances from favorite Disney characters and spring-themed food and beverage items.

This year, more than one hundred Disney characters are taking part in Hong Kong Disneyland’s spring celebration. See if you can spot your favorites in the Disney Friends Springtime Processional, exclusive to the resort. Mickey, Minnie and the rest of the gang will be dressed in their most dapper outfits atop parade floats adorned with beautiful blossoms.

Tokyo Disney Resort’s ever-popular Disney’s Easter program is back this year through June 14, featuring the mischievous Usatama bunny-eared egg characters known for causing mayhem all over both parks.

Disney Parks in Full Bloom for Spring

Did you know that April 12 is Disneyland Paris’ official anniversary date? The 25th anniversary celebration has already begun with a dazzling array of entertainment offerings including a new parade, two daytime castle shows and a nighttime spectacular. Jump into the stories of some of your favorite Disney movies as scenes are projected onto Sleeping Beauty Castle during “Disney Illuminations,” or transport yourself into a galaxy far, far away on Star Tours: The Adventures Continue.

Of course, it wouldn’t be spring without a visit to the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Catch a glimpse of our signature topiaries inspired by classic Disney characters and treat your taste buds to foods made from the freshest ingredients. Then hop over to Magic Kingdom Park, where you’ll find Mr. and Mrs. Easter Bunny greeting guests by Town Square through April 16. As a treat, a special Easter pre-parade will also appear before the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade on April 15 and 16.

U.S. Navy Blue Angels Perform ‘Magical’ Flyovers at Magic Kingdom Park

U.S. Navy Blue Angels Perform ‘Magical’ Flyovers at Magic Kingdom Park

This past Thursday, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels performed several spectacular flyovers at Magic Kingdom Park – roaring over Cinderella Castle as guests in the park cheered (and even shed tears of joy) during the aerial demonstration.

The Blue Angels executed two planned passes at 500 feet above Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort on Thursday. At speeds of more than 250 mph, the Blue Angels performed a perfect “Delta Break” maneuver right above Cinderella Castle. Check it out:

Guests at Magic Kingdom Park said they enjoyed the rare opportunity to see some of the world’s best pilots in action during their Disney vacation. “You don’t think it can get much more magical (at Walt Disney World) but then you see the Blue Angels fly over and it’s just incredible,” Magic Kingdom guest Eric Delee from Port St. Lucia said. “It brought tears to my eyes.”

After the Walt Disney World flyovers, the Blue Angels are heading to Lakeland, Florida for a weekend performance at the Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In.

In 2015, the Blue Angels performed similar flyovers to the cheers of thousands of guests at the theme park. Then, Six F/A-18 Hornet jets roared down Main Street U.S.A. at more than 250 miles an hour on a first pass before executing what is called a Delta Break over Cinderella Castle.

Take A Behind-the-Scenes Look At The Making Of ‘Happily Ever After’

Take A Behind-the-Scenes Look At The Making Of ‘Happily Ever After’

We’re just about six weeks away from the debut of the new nighttime fireworks spectacular “Happily Ever After” at Magic Kingdom Park.

Today we’re happy to share a new look into the creation of what will soon go down in Disney theme park history as one of the most elaborate nighttime shows ever created. It will feature the latest in fireworks, pyrotechnics and projection technology, plus fresh animation, a new score and theme song – all of which the creative team used as tools that together tell a story only Disney can tell. “Happily Ever After” will also feature (or reference) more Disney characters than any other show to date.

According to Executive Creative Director Michael Jung, the show will take park guests on a “hero’s journey” that encourages us to dream our biggest dream and never give up.

“Happily Ever After” will debut at Magic Kingdom Park on May 12.

First Listen: Sneak a Peek at Our ‘Happily Ever After’ Theme Song

In just a few weeks, the new fireworks show “Happily Ever After,” will debut at Magic Kingdom Park with more lasers, lights and projections than ever before – not to mention contemporary versions of popular Disney songs.

And speaking of music, the show will feature a brand-new theme song titled “Happily Ever After,” a song that encourages us to dream our biggest dream possible and to never give up. The duet is sung by country music artist Angie Keilhauer and singer Jordan Fisher, whom you may recognize from the “Moana” soundtrack or the 2016-winter 2017 cast of Broadway’s “Hamilton.” Our cameras recently went behind-the-scenes at the recording session when vocals were laid down for the song to catch a “first listen.”

“Happily Ever After” will debut at Magic Kingdom Park on May 12.

“Happily Ever After,” a new nighttime spectacular that will combine the magic of Disney storytelling, beloved Disney characters, fireworks and so much more, will debut at Magic Kingdom Park on May 12.

The spectacular will inspire guests to seek out and find their own “Happily Ever After” by showcasing some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken to achieve their dreams. The show will feature the latest fireworks and pyrotechnics and original animation, plus a heart-tugging original score. And thanks to the inclusion of state-of-the-art projection mapping technology, more Disney characters than ever before will be featured in the show, including moments from “Moana,” “Brave,” “Big Hero 6,” “Zootopia,” “The Princess & The Frog,” “Aladdin” and many others.

The Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace will continue to offer up a scrumptious way to view the nighttime fun as “Happily Ever After” makes its debut.

Are you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in 2017? New enhancements are coming to the way guests will experience the opening of Magic Kingdom Park – starting on January 9!

sdkjfn01301

If you’ve experienced the park’s “opening moment” during previous vacations, you may recall waiting at the front of the park to kick off the day.

Beginning January 9, guests will be allowed to enter the Main Street, U.S.A. area of the park even earlier than the park’s scheduled opening time. This will allow guests time to savor the charm of Main Street, U.S.A., enjoy breakfast or a warm drink at the Main Street Bakery featuring Starbucks. Then promptly at opening, a new welcome show will officially open the park for the day on the Castle Forecourt Stage. A Royal Herald will appear to deliver a proclamation and welcome a few familiar characters to the stage, officially opening the park so “the magic can begin!”
