We have a special “Limited Time Magic” surprise including details for a special celebration to officially welcome Merida into the Disney Princess Royal Court at Walt Disney World.
As a part of “Limited Time Magic,” all 10 Disney Princesses will come together on May 11 in honor of their newest member, Merida, the heroine from Disney•Pixar’s film “Brave,” as the 11th Disney Princess character. The celebration begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Park.
At the park, you’ll also be able to commemorate the occasion with a limited edition Merida-inspired T-shirt created for toddlers and youth, available at the Emporium inside Magic Kingdom Park while supplies last.
Who doesn’t love watching the creative ways that members of the U.S. Armed Forces are surprising their loved ones upon their return home from a tour of duty?
Earlier this week, SPC Scott Halquist of St. Cloud, Florida, reunited with his children right here at the American Adventure attraction in Epcot. After Voices of Liberty finished their performance, Halquist was announced as a surprise special guest – to the wide-eyed delight of his children Joshua, 2; Jack, 7; and Grace, 8.
Scott’s wife, Amy, worked with Walt Disney World Resort cast members to help arrange the surprise reunion for their family.
Now, is it just me, or is little 2-year-old Joshua the cutest thing ever as he jumped up and down waiting for his daddy?
Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons recently had the honor of kicking off the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration where they held a surprise vow renewal ceremony for Walt Disney World couple, Kristen & Greg. We’re seeing more and more couples look for unique and interesting ways to make their grand entrance, so they wanted something fun and energetic to introduce our bride Kristen. Disney enlisted the help of some friends and Franck himself to make operation ‘Rock the Pavilion’ come to life!
Disney is known in the running industry for its cool race medals, so it should come as no surprise that runDisney has pulled out all of the stops in designing a medal for next year’s 20th anniversary Walt Disney World Marathon, January 10-13. The medal was revealed this morning after a two-week social media campaign called “The Great Medal Caper” in which fans such as you got to unlock clues to eventually unveil the medal.
Trust me, this medal is unlike anything Disney has ever created before. It has the traditional round shape, but it features two spinning parts, including a medallion with a classic image of Mickey Mouse on one side and a modern image of him on the other side. The other cool features are two engraved quotes from Walt Disney himself.
And to think, all you have to do to get one of them is run 26.2 miles. Better start training now! But don’t forget to get all marathon details at runningatdisney.com.
