New Holiday Entertainment Including Christmas At The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

Since 2010, you’ve been able to step into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort and become a part of the iconic moments from the books and films.

For the first time at Universal Orlando Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will transform for the most wonderful time of year – Christmas.

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Festive garland décor, each with its own unique detail, will complement the shops and architecture. These fantastic textures will surround you as you wander the streets of both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

You’ll also be able to enjoy new holiday food, drink and entertainment throughout both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

The Christmas celebration will crescendo nightly as a festive spell will be cast onto Hogwarts castle, cascading it in décor, candlelight and festive moments inspired by the films. Using the latest in mapped projection technology, Hogwarts Castle will transform itself into a yuletide display, gifting fans with an amazing, new view.

The holidays have always been a special time for Hogwarts students. And Universal is going to capture that same spirit, allowing you to experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter like never before.

And that’s not all.

This year, Universal is introducing the new Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s, the global leader in balloon entertainment. You’ll enjoy newly designed floats, festive balloons and your favorite Universal characters in Universal Studios Florida.

Santa Claus is going to have his hands full as the Minions bring merry and mayhem to the parade, along with Dreamworks characters from Madagascar and Shrek.

All of these holiday experiences will run daily starting Nov. 18, 2017 through Jan. 6, 2018.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando Unveils All-New Guest Room Design Inspired by a Luxury Island Paradise

Inspired by the adventurous spirit and exotic destinations of the Golden Age of Travel, designers have completed the renovation of guest rooms at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando.

LRPR-Double-Queen

The new look captures the tranquil serenity and bold heritage that embodies the spirit of the islands. With its on-site location at Universal Orlando Resort, the hotel offers guests a modern sense of adventure, filled with the magic and excitement of two world-class theme parks – Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

“Our new rooms are vibrant and luxurious, evoking the romance of traveling to the South Pacific” says Complex Managing Director Barb Bowden. “Combined with an extensive upgrade and renovation to the bathrooms, it is an entirely new room product for our guests to experience.”

The guest rooms reflect the magic that exotic destinations in the South Pacific cast over traveler’s hearts at the turn of the 20thcentury, as well as today. The color palette was inspired by the islands, with sandy neutrals punctuated with hints of turquoise and tangerine reminiscent of sand, water and flowers.  Gray and charcoal accents tie back to the lava and harder elements of the islands. Custom furniture pieces make use of leather strapping details, metal corner guards, buckles and rivets, all elements found in vintage luggage, steamer trunks and majestic steamships. A focal point in the new rooms is the accent wall, where a custom graphic creates an art moment showcasing the flora, fauna and native motifs of the South Seas.

Guests staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando receive an exclusive package of theme park benefits at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, including free Universal Express Unlimited ride access to skip the regular lines in both theme parks (theme park admission required) and Early Park Admission.  The 1,000-room hotel is located a short walk, complimentary water taxi or shuttle bus ride away from both Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. Guests also enjoy exceptional cuisine in a variety of restaurants and lounges, complimentary Wi-Fi, a weekly luau dinner and show and a lagoon-style swimming pool with private cabanas.
