Smoking policy at Walt Disney World
Beginning on January 30th, 2000 Walt Disney World
instituted a new smoking policy. This new open air smoking policy that provides
for designated smoking areas is now in affect at all theme parks including:
- The Magic Kingdom
- Epcot
- Disney Hollywood Studios
- Animal Kingdom
- Blizzard Beach
- Typhoon Lagoon
- Disney’s Wide World of Sports
- Fantasia Gardens (miniature golf)
- Winter Summerland (miniature golf)
- All golf courses
All designated smoking areas for each theme park
are displayed on the park guide maps. Guests who smoke will find signs at the
designated smoking area that read:
"For the comfort and safety of
everyone, smoking is permitted in this immediate area only".
If you encounter difficulty locating
a designated smoking area ask a cast member who can then direct you.
The number of designated smoking locations at the four major theme parks will
vary from park to park.
-
The Magic Kingdom 13 areas
-
Epcot has 23 areas
-
Disney-Hollywood Studios has 9
areas
-
Animal Kingdom has 9 areas
The number of locations and
locations themselves are subject to change.
Please consult your theme park guide map for official locations.
All Walt Disney World restaurants continue to remain smoke free.
The smoking policy for Disney’s Boardwalk and Downtown Disney has remained the
same as in the past.
