The Magic Kingdom Simple Touring Plan
6 Years of Age or Younger

Get a stroller
If you have not brought a stroller with you consider renting one. Stroller rentals are located to your right as you pass through the turnstiles. These strollers are equipped to handle kids up to age five. A stroller is a great idea even if your kids are a little older and normally don’t ride in one. Most kids will tire at some point in the day and a stroller is your best bet and will serve you well as you make your way from Fantasyland to Frontierland.

Explore Main Street U.S.A.
Even when the official opening time is 9:00am the Disney people will begin to let their guests through the turnstiles as early as 45 minutes to an hour before that. Much of the park will remain closed to the public until 9:00am, but guests will have access to Main Street.
Take advantage of this time using it for a leisurely stroll down Main Street U.S.A. Here you will find a photo opportunity with Cinderella Castle in the background. You may want stop in The Main Street Bake Shop for a quick snack or simply enjoy this 1900 turn-of-the-century reproduction of a Middle American small town as you make your way towards the central hub.

Position yourself at the central hub for the official opening, which is located in front of the castle. Once guests are allowed into the remainder of the park you can start the touring plan.

Pass through Cinderella Castle and enter Fantasyland

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Disney Note: Perform the “Chuck Bubba Relay” as described in Bob Sehlinger’s book “The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World”.
One parent will wait in line with bubba. The other parent allows a certain number of people to get in front of them (24 in the case of Dumbo) and then gets in line. When Bubba finishes his ride he and parent number one will exit and little Bubba is then passed to the other parent. Bubba can then enjoy two Dumbo’s for the price of one wait

Peter Pan's Flight
Fast Pass Available

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Fast Pass Available
Obtain a Fast Pass for a later second ride later

Editors Note: You will not be issued multiple FastPass coupons. Each person using his or her park admission ticket will only be issued one FastPass for the time frame indicated on the FastPass coupon.

Mickey’s Philharmagic

Enter Mickey’s Toontown Fair

Keep an eye out for your return time to Winnie the Pooh

The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm

Editors Note: This attraction is a short roller coaster ride, so be prepared to judge your child’s acceptance.

Minnie's Country House
A self guided walking tour through Minnie's country house.

If time permits before lunch then also visit Mickey’s Country House. If you find you are pressed for time then consider just a walk through of Mickey’s House and not enduring the wait involved in meeting Mickey in the Judges Tent.

Mickey's Country House
A self guided tour through Mickey's house with optional photo opportunity with Mickey himself.

Ride The Walt Disney World Train to the Main Street Station

Mid-Day Break Option #1
You should be considering a break at this point. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort and the Magic Kingdom is open late (9:00pm or later) and will be presenting the evening parade considering returning to your hotel. There you can have lunch, go for a swim and possibly take a nap. Then around 5:00pm to 6:00pm head back to the Magic Kingdom with the sole intent of enjoying the evening parade.

Disney Note: During the less busy times of the year the evening parade will often be omitted during the week days, but generally it will be offered year round on the weekends. If the evening parade is a must see for you and yours, then phone ahead (407) 824-4321 and check when and if it will be presented during your stay.

Disney Note: In making your decision you should consider how late the park is open and whether a return will be worth the effort.

If the Magic Kingdom will be closing early or you just simply are planning to make the day of it, then consider the following:

Mid-Day Break Option #2
If you would like the food to be brought to you then consider combining your lunch with a character encounter experience
Crystal Palace

Disney Tip: Although the price may seem steep this is not only an excellent meal but also a great character encounter. So if you can fit it into your vacation budget you won’t be disappointed. Priority seating strongly suggested

Mid-Day Break Option #3
Want to take it easy on the vacation budget then consider this counter service restaurant
Cosmic Rays

Excuse me but I was wondering what this line was for?

Whether you stuck it out in the park or left and returned you should be ready to resume your quest for more Disney Magic. Which direction do you head? Depending upon what time it is and what time the evening parade starts you should be able to take in a few attractions.

Remember if you plan on viewing the evening parade you will need to stake out your spot at least one and a half to two hours ahead of time for the best location. See parades
If you plan on skipping the evening parade just continue with the touring plan and run it until you are ready to depart.

Try picking one of the lands and concentrating on the attractions offered there.
Here are some suggestions.

Adventureland

The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
Similar to Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction except this time you ride on a flying carpet. Riders control the height of their carpets, as they past by water spitting camels.

Jungle Cruise
Fast Pass Available
Long been considered a must see this perennial favorite is however beginning to show it’s age. An outdoor jungle cruise that works its way through a twisting and winding waterway, while the cast member skipper entertains guests with often funny or at least amusing patter. For an enhanced experience and one in which this attraction’s age will not be as apparent try it at night.

After you finish in Adventureland head to Frontierland.

There is a passageway located just across from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction that will put you right into Frontierland next to Country Bear Jamboree.

Frontierland

Country Bear Jamboree
At this Audio-Animatronic country western hoedown theater show you will find a cast of bears that have sung and danced their way onto the hearts of children generation after generation.

You can choose to head to the other side of the park and enjoy attractions offered in Tomorrowland and Fantasyland.

Tomorrowland

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
Fast Pass Available
This very enjoyable interactive indoor ride allows riders to help Buzz Lightyear defeat the evil Emperor Zurg by shooting laser guns at targets scattered throughout the ride. Each car is equipped with a joystick for positioning and individual lasers that have separate displays that record your score.
Tomorrowland's newest attraction.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority
This linear induction-powered transit system allows guest to take a leisurely scenic tour of Tomorrowland. Guests are also afforded a glimpse inside Space Mountain and a peak at Buzz’s space warriors as they do battle against Zurg. A great relaxing treat especially during the middle of the day. The loading and unloading are extremely efficient so the wait is never long.

Fantasyland

It's a Small World
This indoor boat ride with a world brotherhood theme first premiered at the 1964 New York Worlds Fair and may appear somewhat dated. Despite this and the mind-bending song that will reverberate in your head for weeks it still holds a nostalgic appeal and is worthwhile. A great place to cool off and the quick loading format ensures that the wait is never very long.

Cinderella's Golden Carrousel
A merry-go-round that is truly worthy of Walt Disney World. The elaborately painted horses and the familiar Disney tunes make this a delight to the senses, especially at night.

Nobody does parades like Disney

If you have decided on viewing the evening parade you will need to keep an eye on the time. Around an hour and half to two hours prior to the parade pick out your first choice for a viewing location and plant yourself there. You can take turns monitoring the spot and have someone run and get a snack to be brought back and shared with everyone. It really can be a relaxing time during which you can people watch and just take in some of the often over looked details that are everywhere

Most guests tend to watch the parade from the central hub at Main Street. Possibly the best vantage point is the upper platform of the Walt Disney Railroad Station at the Town Square end of Main Street. This is also an excellent spot to view the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks. Now remember you will literally have to stake out your position hour and half to two hours before the parade begins. Another excellent reason for making this your plan is that you will be positioned for an easier exit. This is no small matter considering that literally tens of thousands of people will be headed out of the park as the parade ends.
