Disney's Blizzard Beach Water
Park
This
elaborate water theme park with its attention to theme is possibly
the best example, at all of Walt Disney World Resort, of Disney
Imagineers on steroids.
The story is that a highly ambitious, although misdirected
entrepreneur, tried to open a ski resort in Florida. After the snow
melted what was left were the Alpine ski lodge, chair lifts and
bobsled runs, which have now been transformed into water slides.
The chair lift carries swimmers instead of skiers and the ski jump
became the tallest, fastest water slide in the nation.
Guests are invited to what has become Disney's Blizzard Beach, quite
possibly the most elaborately themed water park anywhere.
