What your Disney dollars will get you
Each room will offer you interior corridors and standard rooms that feature:
Size – 350 to 400 square feet
Beds - two double beds, or one king-size bed
Furnishings - an armoire, TV, nightstand, table with two chairs, in wall safe
Bathroom – pedestal sinks, large mirror, open vanity area, toilet and tub/shower in separate area

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
The 900 guest rooms are found in a combination of four and five story buildings situated throughout 40 acres of immaculate landscaping and sandy white beaches.

Room rates will start somewhere in the $350.00 per night range and increase from there.

Disney’s Contemporary
The 1041 guest rooms are equally divided into one of two settings. The tower rooms found in the 15-story A-framed building or the Garden Wing rooms located in one of the two three-story wings, which flank the main A-framed structure.

Room rates will range from the upper $200’s per night in the Wings to mid to upper $300’s per night range in the Towers.

Disney’s Polynesian
The two and three story buildings called longhouses are scattered throughout this tropical resort like islands of the South Pacific from which they are named. The 853 luxury guest rooms continue the relaxing island atmosphere with a laid back design of wicker furnishings and canopy beds.

Room rates per night will begin near the $300.00 per night range and top out over $300.00 per night if a view of the Magic Kingdom is important to you.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
This resort is located on the edge of Bay Lake and nestled comfortably among the evergreen pines and other natural vegetation that surrounds it. Here Disney pays tribute to the U.S. National Park lodges built and patronized at the turn of the century and is modeled with the Old Faithful Inn of Yellowstone National Park in mind.

Room rates will fall in around $200.00 per night for a standard view room and approach $300.00 per night for the more coveted courtyard view.

So What’s The Difference?

Transportation
The Walt Disney World resort monorail services The Grand Floridian, which transports guests directly to the Magic Kingdom, as well as, The Contemporary Resort and The Polynesian Resort. In addition the monorail reaches the Ticket and Transportation Center where guests can transfer to the Epcot monorail.

Guests staying at either the Grand Floridian or Polynesian can also take a leisurely boat trip to the Magic Kingdom.

Guests staying at the Wilderness Lodge can enjoy a short boat trip to the Magic Kingdom.
Buses can be boarded in front of each resort for all other destinations.

Dining
Staying at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary will allow for easy access via the monorail to the restaurants at each of the three monorail resorts, as well as the restaurants found at the Magic Kingdom

Wilderness Lodge guests will enjoy the dining choices found at the Lodge, as well as, find easy access by boat to the restaurants located at the Contemporary and Magic Kingdom Park.

Why So Much?

Location, Location, Location
Along with a level of service that will afford guests a vacation to remember there is without a doubt something undeniably special about staying in one of these Magic Kingdom Resorts. Although only three of these resorts, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Polynesian Resort and Contemporary Resort provide a direct view of the Magic Kingdom, each one in its own distinct way affords their guests the feeling that they are part of the magic.

In our next issue we will explore the remaining Walt Disney World’s deluxe resorts, including the Yacht & Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn and the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

So join us next time when we continue to explore just how many Disney dollars it takes to experience the ultimate Walt Disney World vacation.
