these attractions and measuring guests. Close will not be good
enough to allow you to pass by.

Fright Factor
Younger children are often frightened by a darkened queuing
area, pre-show or an attraction that may contain loud noises or
sudden loss of lighting as part of the special affects. Now nobody
knows your children better than you and ultimately you will be the
final judge of their level of tolerance, but here is a list of
possible candidates that may frighten some young children.
Haunted Mansion
Younger children are often more frighten by the pre-show than
anything actually experienced during the ride itself.
Pirates of the Caribbean
The waiting area for this attraction is what may have the
younger members in your group biting their finger nails and tugging
at you shirt tail. This semi-darkened area with the background
noises all coupled with the mystery of what lays ahead may be enough
to do them in. If so skip this one for now and give it a try next
time.
Snow White's Adventures
Being chased by an Evil Queen that eventually transforms into a
grizzled old hag may not be your kids idea of fun. There is plenty
else to do and see particularly in Fantasyland where this attraction
is located, so if you decide to pass on this one you will still have
a lot to do and see,
The “Child Swap”
If there are some in your party who do not quite measure up or
who simply don’t want to venture on a certain attraction, while
there are others who could not dream of missing the experience what
do you do? You may want to consider a procedure known as a "child
swap" option.
This procedure with allow those in a party who can't ride a
particular attraction due to height restrictions not to hold back
those that want to. In order for this procedure to work there will
need to be two adults in the party. This procedure has varied from
time to time and from attraction to attraction over the years, but
here is what you can expect.
As you approach the attraction in question consult with the cast
member who is acting a the “greeter” and inform them that you wish
to perform the “child swap”. The procedure will involve one adult
waiting with those that will not be enjoying the attraction, usually
at the loading area, while those willing and able enjoy the ride. At
the conclusion of the first groups experience the second adult will
be allowed to ride without waiting through the line again. A member
of the first group can join the second adult in order that they
don’t have to experience the ride alone. |
