 Launched in November 1993, the new Costa
Romantica will continue an evolution in luxury cruising begun by her sister
ship, the Costa Classica. The Costa Romantica is an architectural tour de
force of stunning drama. Window walls offer breathtaking ocean vistas.
Public rooms are richly embellished with rare woods and Carrara marble,
exquisitely detailed by the finest European artisans. Original works of art
greet the eye at every turn. The talented designers of the Costa Romantica
have spared no expense to make her the most comfortable and beautiful ship
afloat.She is decorated with almost
$20 million in original works of art including sculptures, painting, murals,
wall hangings, and handcrafted artisan furnishings. She has 34 luxurious
Italian-inspired suites, averaging approximately 340 to 580 square feet (ten
suites with verandas) featuring all the comforts of home and butler-style
service that the most experienced travelers will enjoy. Nautical wall murals
and cheerful fabrics capture the Costa Romantica's spirit of adventure. Her
oversized staterooms average more than 200 square feet, and are considered
to be among the largest of any ship.
A fully contained spa at sea offers an
exciting complement of health and fitness activities, including beauty
treatments, therapies and personalized instruction. Full promenade deck
designed for fitness enthusiasts. 1,500 square-foot Business/Conference
Center features the latest in audio-visual and business communication
equipment.
