Universal
Studios Movie Theme Park
Go beyond the screen and Ride the Movies!
Universal Studios Florida first threw open it’s doors to central Florida
visitors and threw down the gauntlet with Walt Disney World Resorts in 1990. The
guest areas at Universal are approximately the size of Epcot making it twice the
size of Disney’s MGM Studios give or take an ice cream stand or two. Whether or
not this equates to more thrills for you vacation dollar can be debated, but it
certainly means more walking.
With it’s combination of themed rides and shows and a tradition carried over
from its California sister park of providing first-rate entertainment value
Universal Studios Orlando has earned it’s share of the central Florida tourist
pie.
Excuse me but can you tell me how to get to…?
Universal Studios Florida is laid out with a long boulevard that is home to a
variety of shows and rides. Extended off to the right of this main drag are five
streets that allow guests to circulate around to other areas of the park. The
park can be broken down into five sections, although you may be hard pressed to
discern when you have actually left one and entered another. But for the sake of
another sentence here they are: the Production Center or Front Lot, New York,
Hollywood, San Francisco and Expo Center.
Guests can find essentially what they will need in the way of guests services
near the entrance to the park. The services include: stroller rental, wheelchair
rental, baby care center, lockers as well as general information.
