My Top Picks for Quick Service Locations at the Four Disney World Parks

In last weeks blog I discussed getting your Advanced Dining Reservations at Table Service Restaurants in Disney World.  In that blog I recommended that you not make reservations for every day of your vacation and to leave some days just to plan as you go and not be locked into any one location at a specific time.  This week I would like to give you my top picks at each park for a Quick Service Dining Option that is still really good food and not typical burgers and fries.

Magic Kingdom

In Magic Kingdom hands down for me I always head to Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square.  There are so many of my favorites on this menu.  My personal favorites would be the Trio platter which has fried shrimp, breaded chicken breast nuggets and battered fish served with hushpuppies and choice of green beans & carrots or french fries.  Another fav is the chicken pot pie or some healthy options like the grilled salmon or Harbour salads.  There is plenty of seating in this location.  I always head upstairs and get a seat by a window to people watch as I enjoy my meal.

Animal Kingdom

My pick for Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree Barbecue and I have selected it for two reasons, the food and the atmosphere of this location’s seating.  Flame Tree is located in the Discovery Island section of the park and you will easily be able to find it by just following the incredible BBQ smell.  They have ribs, chicken and pulled pork.  I’ve tried them all and love them!  My go to is the smoked pulled pork sandwich served with coleslaw and signature baked beans.  I have heard a lot of rave reviews on their baked macaroni and cheese with pulled pork so this is on my list to try next time.  As for the seating I mentioned, I like that it is outdoors and under nice shaded pavilions.  It is tucked away and I like to head to the area closest to the water overlooking Expedition Everest.  It is so quiet and peaceful down there and is the perfect place to recharge your energy for more exploring.

Hollywood Studios

I have to say that Hollywood Studios was always the park that I struggled to find a quick service location that had anything that I would highly recommend.  That was until Toy Story Land opened and with it Woody’s Lunch Box.  The menu here is not large by any means but everything I have tried has been delicious.  My favorite is their grilled three cheese sandwich and the tomato-basil soup.  The smoked turkey sandwich, totchos and BBQ Brisket melt are also good choices.  My only complaint is they need more seating so I recommend having someone stand in line to order while the rest of the family looks around for a family getting ready to leave and then grab it up quick.

EPCOT

Okay, I have left the best for last.  EPCOT is a foodie lovers park.  The quick service options here are endless and this is the one park where I have a hard time just giving you one pick, so I will break it down with a pick in Future World and then World Showcase.  In Future World I would head over to the Land Pavilion where Sunshine Seasons is located on the bottom floor.  This is a food court which has many options and you will be able to find something for everyone in your group.  There are different shops  within the court.  You can choose from:  Asian Noodles Shop, Grill Shop, Sandwich Shop, Soup & Salads Shop and of course a Bakery Shop to enjoy a sweet treat.  There is plenty of seating and if you plan your fast passes carefully this is where Soarin and Living with the Land and located.

In World Showcase there are many quick service locations each geared toward the cusine from the Country you are visiting.  Pick your favorite and you can’t go wrong.  I have to say I have had something from each that I have loved but if pressed to pick I’ll have to choose the fish and chips in the UK!

I hope you have enjoyed my quick service picks.  If this has made you hungry and wanting to plan your next Disney World trip please contact your Kingdom Magic Vacation travel planner to get started.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2019

It is that most magical time of year again at the Magic Kingdom and along with all the festive decorations comes an annual event not to be missed and that is the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  This party is a special ticketed event held on select nights now through December 22nd.  The Magic Kingdom closes for the evening and ticket holders can start to enter Magic Kingdom at 4:00 p.m. with the official party beginning at 7:00 p.m. and lasting until midnight.

Let me tell you a little about the party so you can decide if this is something you would like to add on to your holiday trip.  First, let’s talk about treats!  Party guests will enjoy a variety of complimentary sweets and treats located at various treat stations throughout the park.  Also, note that there are healthy and gluten-free options that will be available upon request.   You will get to fill up on many different yummy cookies, pretzels, eggnog, hot chocolate, apple cider and fanta drinks.  There will also be special holiday treats for purchase that are only available during the party!

At this wonderful time of year, Cinderella Castle transforms each night by Queen Elsa as she gives everyone their Frozen Holiday Wish!  Christmas magic will surround you with carols and even snow coming down on Main Street!

Then there is the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade which features costumes and floats that are themed to Winter Wonderland, Christmas Sweets and of course Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  The parade happens twice at 8:30 p.m. and 11:00 pm.  Just a little tip, the second parade is often easier to get a better seat.

9 Must-Do’s For Fall Visits to Walt Disney World Resort

Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom are always special but the Christmastime Fireworks are not to be missed!  This year debuts a brand new fireworks show called Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks and is presented at 10:00 p.m. on party nights only.

There are many other party events happening through the night like fun dance parties, Christmas songs performed by a cappella group and special holiday character meet and greets.  All of this fun, not to mention the rides and attractions you can enjoy with much shorter waits.

So if you and your family want to partake in all this festive Christmastime fun, contact your Kingdom Magic Vacation travel planner today!

Best Treat at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party

This past week I attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom park in Walt Disney World! This Halloween Party is a separately ticketed event that takes place on select nights throughout the fall season in Magic Kingdom. This event is family friendly and focuses more on the fun side of Halloween! It is the perfect balance of spooky thrills mixed with cute decorations and fun costumes! There is something for everyone!

An iconic part of Halloween for many of us is candy and all things involving sweets and treats! At Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party you will have the opportunity to actually trick or treat in the Magic Kingdom! Guests of all ages can feel like a kid again as they visit special treat locations throughout the park and receive candy and other yummy snack items.

In addition to stocking up on candy and treats from the complimentary treat locations around the park, you can also purchase specialty treats. These specialty treats are exclusively available just during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I tried a few of these specialty desserts and there was one particular one that stood out to me as my favorite!

My favorite dessert of this year’s 2019 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was the Haunted Mansion inspired wedding cake! This cake was meant to look like a small personal size version of the bride from the Haunted Mansion Constance’s wedding cake! The dessert is named “Constance’s for Better or For Worse Wedding Cake” This treat is a Halloween Party Exclusive! It can be purchased at the Liberty Square Popcorn Cart.

This dessert is a citrus-scented cake with raspberry Bavarian cream, white chocolate glaze, icing pearls, flowers, and is topped with a chocolate axe. This cake had a moose consistency and was very light and decadent.

Every aspect of this treat made me a fan! From the fun theming inspired by my favorite Magic Kingdom attraction – to the fact that it was the most delicious and unique tasting treat I enjoyed on my vacation! Be sure to say “I do” to this cake when you visit Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year! Contact your Kingdom Magic Vacations Travel Planner today to plan your next adventure.

Believe it or not the summer months are winding down and soon fall will be in full swing! But with that there are so many things to look forward to, especially at the Walt Disney World Resort! The Disney Parks go all out around the holidays adding specialty decorations and even exclusive festive events to celebrate the season! During the fall on select nights Magic Kingdom hosts a delightful Halloween bash known as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Frights and Sounds of the Season! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Brings Spooktacular Fun for the Entire Family to Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party features special Halloween stage shows, dance parties, rare character meet and greets, a special Halloween Parade, exclusive Halloween fireworks show, trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom, specialty treats and merchandise for purchase, and more!

There are a limited number of party tickets sold for each night of the event making the party feel more like a vip event for all those guests in attendance! Because of the limited number of tickets guests who attend will enjoy the park with significantly lower crowds than compared to a normal day in the Magic Kingdom. This means you can do and see more during your time in the park! Lower crowds means lower wait times on some of the most popular attractions! This fact alone makes these extra ticketed events such an incredible value for the experience you get to have!

I attended my very first Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party last year and I caught the Halloween Party bug! I had such a wonderful experience! I love all the spooky fun extras that you find throughout the Magic Kingdom! It is such a festive and fun environment to be apart of!

This year I’m not just attending one Halloween Party! I’m attending two! The first during this month of August with a group of friends and the second in October with some of my Kingdom Magic Vacations co-workers! Both times we are planning to do group costumes! That is another very fun aspect of Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, many guests dress up! Last year I loved seeing other guests costumes and how creative everyone gets! This year I’m excited to get to dress up myself! When I go with my friends this month we are all going as Star Wars characters! I am going to be Rey! Then in October with my Kingdom Magic Fam we are all going to be character from Disney Pixar’s Inside Out! I am going to be Riley!

There are a lot of new offerings coming to this years Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! Check out our new YouTube Video to hear what I’m most excited for!

Everything you need to know about First Aid at Walt Disney World

You never want to think that you will need First Aid care while on vacation at Walt Disney World but it is good to know what is offered and where to find it if the need arises.  First Aid Stations located in the Walt Disney World parks are not just for you basic band aids.  Let me tell you about some of the things that the First Aid Stations can do for you.

Say you are in the park and your child is not feeling well and you think they may have a fever, you can just stop in and check.  They have thermometer strips available to give you.  There is an area in the back with beds where someone can lie down for a while if they do not feel well.

The First Aid stations will also have samples of medicine for many things that can come up while traveling.  They will have things for colds such as cold medicine, cough drops and even packets of tissues.  If you get a bad headache that you just cannot shake, they can give you samples of Tylenol or Ibuprofen.  If the headache is coming on because of the start of dehydration then you can get some powerade, damp cloths and a cool spot to rest until you are feeling better.  All first aid stations are equipped with Epipens for insect bites and allergic reactions.

While on vacation, you may not be eating the same way you would at home which can lead to an upset stomach or indigestion.  The stations will have samples of medicines to help relieve your symptoms.

If you get something in your eye someone at the station can help you flush your eye out.  If you are having an issue with your contacts they will also have contact solution for you to use.

Probably one of the biggest things you could encounter while in Disney World is blisters from all the walking!  Just stop in if this happens and they will have band-aids and bandages available.

These first aid stations also offer some special services that might be of use to some people.  Did you know that these stations will store refrigerated medication for you.  That will save you from having to go all the way back to your resort to take your medicine.  You can also come here to do your breathing treatments for things such as asthma, just bring your nebulizer to First Aid and you have a nice private cool place to administer your treatment.

If you are a diabetic or require any daily injections a First Aid Station is the place you will want to go.  They will even have special containers for disposal of your needles.

On my most recent visit I needed to visit the First Aid Station.  I was taking an antibiotic that made me more susceptible to sun exposure.  I had a reaction on my feet that made them so itchy.  I was getting really miserable and happen to be walking by the First Aid Station.  I walked in, they had me sign in, I showed them what I was experiencing, and they handed me a few packets of ointment that made me feel so much better.  It saved the rest of my day!  The staff and facilities were so great!

Now that you know what is available at the First Aid Stations let me tell you where you can locate each station at each park:

-Magic Kingdom – Located between Crystal Palace Restaurant and Casey’s Corner Restaurant near the restrooms as you are heading toward Adventureland.

-Epcot – Located in the Odyssey Center between Future World and the World Showcase.

-Hollywood Studios – Located in the Guest Relations building on Hollywood Boulevard near the front entrance.

-Animal Kingdom – Located at Discovery Island next to Creature Comforts/Starbucks location.

-Typhoon Lagoonlocated just behind Leaning Palms.

-Blizzard Beach, located beside Lottawatta Lodge.

Hope this information helps you if you ever find yourself or a family member in need of a little medical assistance.

How to Stay Cool At Walt Disney World! – Part 1 – Magic Kingdom and Epcot

Florida is known as the sunshine state for a reason! Central Florida, home to Walt Disney World is a paradise, typically having warm weather ALL YEAR LONG! Anytime you visit you may find the temperature are soaring high. But don’t let the heat keep you from the parks! The great thing about Disney is they offer so many great attractions that are all indoors in air conditioning so it easy to duck inside a queue line and escape the temperatures for a bit to cool off!

The Carousel of Progress

Located in Tomorrowland the Carousel of Progress is another personal favorite of mine! This show has a rich Disney history that dates back to the 1964 World Fair in New York. The shows main focus is all about innovation and how technology has grown over the years!

I am a big fan of the Epcot classic character Figment! In the Journey into Imagination with Figment attraction you board your ride vehicle and head off on a scientific tour that soon gets hijacked by Figments antics! It is a fun attraction that typically has a lower wait and offers you a great chance to get out of the sun.

The Nighttime Spectaculars At Walt Disney World!

The nighttime shows at Walt Disney World are truly spectacular.  When you visit make sure you stay into the evening hours at each of the four parks to see the wonderful show that each has to offer.  At each park you will experience a very unique display that is sure to take your breath away!

Animal Kingdom

Since Animal Kingdom added on evening park hours they have added the Rivers of Light show.  This show celebrates the majesty of nature and features special effects and a thrilling musical score.  Eastern festival traditions are combined with technology, which makes for a beautiful nighttime pageant showcasing lantern floats and animals.  This show tells the story of how mankind has been inspired by animals and nature.

Hollywood Studios

Located on Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios you will find the gigantic amphitheater which curves around a lagoon giving a great view of the nighttime show Fantasmic.  The premise of this show is you are in a dream Mickey is having where good will verse evil as he becomes a sorcerer’s apprentice with powers to control things like water, color and magic.  This show features many live performers, huge sets, stunning effects, pyrotechnics and thrilling music.  Mickey’s dream turns into a nightmare when the Disney Villains try to take over.  In the end you know that Mickey will win for a happy ending.

EPCOT

You will find Illuminations Reflections of Earth located around the World Showcase in EPCOT.  This show has stunning fireworks that celebrates the Earth and all of humanity.  There are also fiery flames all around the lagoon for a dramatic effect.  A 350,000 pound Globe glides out on the lagoon displaying the Earth’s history of humanity and achievements.  The combination of flames, lazers, fireworks, music and storytelling makes this show incredible.  That is why it has been around for 20 years.  Hurry if you want to see it because September 30th will be the last showing before a new show is revealed.  It will be sad to see it go but I am certain that Disney has an even better show ready to wow us.  As was the case when Wishes at Magic Kingdom went away to make way for the current show “Happily Ever After”.  So that brings me to the last park and for me my favorite!  That is why I saved the best for last!

9 Must-Do’s For Fall Visits to Walt Disney World Resort

At Magic Kingdom the best way to end your day is with a viewing of the Happily Ever After fireworks show.  Cinderella’s Castle becomes part of the story by having state-of-the art projections tell a story of many favorite Disney animated films.  This show uses more lasers, lights, special effects and fireworks than any in the history of the Magic Kingdom.  The musical score will give you goose bumps and by the end I always have a tear in my eye.  Watch our new YouTube video to see highlights of what this show has to offer:

My Perfect Day at Magic Kingdom!

Any day at Disney is an amazing day! If you frequent the Disney Parks often then you will definitely agree that there are some PERFECT park days! Days that you get to experience all of your personal favorite things and fill your day with what you enjoy the most! Today I am excited to share with you what my perfect day at the Magic Kingdom would be from start to finish! I hope that my plans for my ideal Magic Kingdom day give you some idea you might want to try out for your next visit!

Rope Drop!

If we are talking about my perfect day, we might as well start at the very beginning! There are a lot of benefits to getting to the park early right when the park opens, aka rope drop. You can often enjoy less crowds in the park at this early hour and for me personally there is something truly magical about the early morning atmosphere in Magic Kingdom! The morning sun is hitting the castle and lighting up Main Street USA with a warm glow! It is beautiful!

Breakfast

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it is very important to get fueled up for an incredible park day ahead! I would plan to go to Starbucks on Main Street to grab a breakfast sandwich and an iced coffee. I mentioned how much I love Main Street in the early mornings. I would plan to enjoy my Starbucks sitting in the outside seating area just off of Main Street to take in the sights!

Mine Train

As I mentioned morning is a great time to enjoy the parks with less crowds. This means you can enjoy lower wait times on many of the more popular attractions! My best advice is to get in line for any rides that you really want to ride and were unable to get a fast pass for early in your day at the park so you guarantee you get to experience them! For me my favorite more popular attraction in Magic Kingdom is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train! I would plan to head straight to this attraction to wait in line!

Fast Passes

After achieving my favorite attractions that I did not have a fast pass for I would plan to move on to riding attractions using my fast passes. Fast passes are so wonderful to utilize when in Disney.  Every Disney guest receives 3 complimentary fast passes with their ticket. These fast passes give you a reserved time for certain attractions and you can enter the ride or show through a special fast pass queue and experience little to no wait! When you stay on Disney property you can book fast passes 60 days in advance rather than 30 days in advance for all other guests. This gives you a better chance to guarantee you get to experience all the rides you want. Another reason why staying on Disney property can give you so many perks!

Lunch

Somewhere in between my fast passes for the day I would plan to break for lunch and visit a Disney quick service location. My personal favorite is Columbia Harbor House! My go to meal here is the chicken pot pie! It is incredible! The seating area here at this location is great! They even offer upstairs seating which tends to be more quiet than downstairs in the main dining hall. There is even a room upstairs that has windows overlooking the connecting pathway between Fantasyland and Liberty Square. It is a great view! Perfect for people watching!

More Attractions

Once I have used all my fast passes for the day I would plan to ride attractions that typically have a low wait time. My personal favorite is the Tomorrowland People Mover! This attraction gives you a birdseye view of Tomorrowland and incredible views over to Cinderella Castle!

New Photo Capture Coming to Pirates of Caribbean at Magic Kingdom Park on June 19

Dinner

My favorite restaurant in all of Magic Kingdom for dinner is Be Our Guest! This restaurant makes you feel as though you have actually stepped inside the story of Beauty and the Beast as you dine in the Beast’s Castle! The food is excellent! I have been here several times and have always loved my meal! My favorite thing to get is the braised pork that is marinated in coffee for 24 hours. It melts in your mouth!

Fireworks!

Ending your day with Disney fireworks is a must! The Disney Fireworks are an iconic part of many people’s vacations! The current fireworks show at Disney is Happily Ever after and it is my favorite fireworks display I have ever seen Disney put on! Don’t miss it!

NEW Christmas Fireworks coming to the 2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

It is the middle of June which means we are just about 2 short weeks away from July! Which means guess what? CHRISTMAS IN JULY! That is just a roundabout excuse for this Christmas-loving girl to talk about my favorite holiday! But in all seriousness now is the perfect time to start thinking ahead to your Christmas season travel plans!

Walt Disney World is a wonderful destination to visit year round but during the holidays the magic increases even more with festive decorations in every inch of the parks and resorts as well as special Christmas events and holiday offerings! I always love planning a visit to the parks around the holiday season, which in Disney typically begins the first week in November and runs through the first week of the new year! During this time you can take in all the breathtaking holiday decorations at both the parks and resorts as well as take part in some of those special Christmas offerings I mentioned!

A fan favorite holiday event at Disney year after year is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This is an extra-ticketed special event that takes place on select nights at the Magic Kingdom Park during the Christmas season. During the event you can enjoy a plethora of special holiday themed entertainment offerings and experiences! You will receive complimentary treats and refreshments throughout the park! Enjoy a special Christmas parade and wonderful holiday stage show and more! One of the main events during this festive evening is the specialty Christmas fireworks show!

This year a brand-new Christmas fireworks show will premiere as part of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! The new show will be called, “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks!” That’s right! This brand-new fireworks spectacular, will light up the skies above Magic Kingdom during Christmas Party nights!

Tickets Now Available For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Visits

This new show will be hosted by Minnie Mouse herself and feature medleys of Christmas songs like “Joy to the World,” “Deck the Halls,” “Up on the House Top,” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas!” What a perfect way to celebrate the season!’

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place this year on select nights from November 8 – December 22, 2019. Diamond Horseshoe Dining Review – Magic Kingdom – Walt Disney World

On my most recent visit to Magic Kingdom this week I enjoyed a brand new dining experience that I had never previously done! I ate at the Diamond Horseshoe inside the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! I had a wonderful experience here at this restaurant! Everything was incredible from the delicious food to the charming western atmosphere!

Diamond Horseshoe is located back in Frontierland inside the Magic Kingdom Park. For some time this dining location was only open seasonally and for special events so it was always a challenge to try to experience this restaurant. For a while when this location would be open it was a quick service dining location. Now Diamond Horseshoe is one of Magic Kingdom’s newest table service locations! You can either order off the menu or choose to enjoy the buffet!

The restaurant menu has a wide mix of American-style flavors. They are known for their barbecue! The cuisine is definitely comfort food. I was dining here with my friends who are vegan and they were so excited to check out the vegan stuffed peppers! I am not vegan myself but I do love stuffed peppers and I was interested in what the vegan version would taste like so I also ordered this dish!

The service was wonderful, the chef came to our table to talking about the vegan options on the menu and answered everyones dietary questions. The cast members were all very knowledgeable about the menu! I really enjoy the meal I had! The vegan stuffed peppers were so fresh! The meat substitute was from Impossible Foods and was seasoned to perfection! It tasted very similar to real meat.

The atmosphere is very fun and charming! You feel like you have stepped into a western saloon! There is even a stage with a player piano that sets the tone for this incredibly themed restaurant. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience at Diamond Horseshoe! Be sure to check this restaurant out on your next visit to Magic Kingdom! Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table – Walt Disney World Dining!

For many the icon they think of when they hear the name Walt Disney World is hands-down Cinderella Castle! This breathtaking castle sits at the end of Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom and getting your picture with the castle in the background is a right-of-passage for every family during their Disney Vacation! Did you know that you can actually dine inside of Cinderella Castle?! Cinderella’s Royal Table is a wonderful character dining location that is actually located inside of Cinderella Castle! Here are my top 3 reasons to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table!

Atmosphere:

Dining at Cinderella’s Royal table gives you the experience of actually being able to step inside of Cinderella Castle! This is such a unique opportunity and will make you feel like you are royalty yourself! You will also be able to say that on your visit to Disney World you actually stepped inside the resort’s most iconic structure! The restaurant’s theming is simply magical! You will find regal touches everywhere you turn. Throughout the restaurant, you will also find some adorable details from Cinderella’s story! One of these fairytale touches includes Cinderella’s mice friends Jaq and Gus peaking down from the rafters in the main hall!

Princesses:

Another great aspect of Cinderella’s Royal Table is the fact that it is a character meal! A Disney Character meal is when the Disney characters come and meet you at your table throughout the course of your meal. Here at this location it is a variety of the Disney Princesses! A character meal is the best way to guarantee you will get to see Disney characters during your vacation. There is no waiting in long lines or using your fastpasses on meet and greets, with character dining the characters come to you! This type of character experience is also much more relaxed and the characters generally get to spend a lot more time with you than at a standard meet and greet. You will get to make so many memories from these very personal character interactions and will have so many opportunities to capture some incredible photos!

Food:

The food at Cinderella’s Royal Table is so wonderful! The menu is a prefix. At dinner, this allows you to select an appetizer an entrée and a dessert all for one flat price. The menu does a great job of covering a wide range of items. Everyone in your group will find something they like from the pickiest eater to the most adventurous foodie!

Disney Villains After Hours – NEW After Hours Party coming to Magic Kingdom THIS SUMMER at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Disney World has announced an exciting brand-new After Hours Event! If you are a fan of the Disney Villains then get excited! This new After Hours Party at Magic Kingdom will revolve around all things Disney Villains! Tickets for this new event will go on sale on April 29. This wickedly fun special event will be offered on select nights this summer from June 6 to August 8!

On these select evenings a dark magic will take over Magic Kingdom Park! You will be invited to run amuck in the Villains’ scary world! The party DJ will get this event lit, by energizing the castle stage with wicked beats. This show will transform the entire Central Plaza of the park into a villainous club scene! As the party gets going, the DJ will introduce your “Caretaker” for the evening, the Lord of the Dead, Hades. Hades arrives in a burst of blue flames in this brand-new stage-show, “Villains Unite the Night.”

Meg from Hercules joins Hades to host this show. Hades sits atop his dark throne awaiting the alignment of five planets, following a prophecy that states when the five come together he will be able to rule the universe. However, like any good story this dastardly plan doesn’t go quite as planned! An entire assemblage of Disney Villains interrupts his party! In this villainous crew, you will see Jafar, The Queen, Dr. Facilier and Maleficent arrive with henchmen in tow. These Villains are prepared to demonstrate their powers with some thrilling displays of skills. These gang of Villains have also heard the prophecy and believe THEY are the ones who will rule all.

As you can image the story will get very intense with this twist! The brand-new show is going to be more than 20 minutes long! This will be one incredible stage show! Villains Unite the Night will have three showings during each event, giving all party attendance the opportunity to watch these Villains rule the stage!

If you have been to Magic Kingdom Park during the daytime recently then I am sure you have seen Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade! This happens to be my favorite parade Disney has ever done! If you are familiar with the Festival of Fantasy parade then you will know that one of the floats is a gigantic Maleficent Dragon! During this special after hours event, the Maleficent Dragon from Festival of Fantasy, will be let loose at night for the first time! She will be breathing fire as she creeps through the park with her minions as she makes her way to join the party at the Central Plaza!

Past the castle forecourt, ominous lighting and music will be found throughout various areas of the park. There will even be attraction overlays! In Tomorrowland, the Villains will invade Space Mountain, taking brave travelers on a villainous trip they are sure not to forget. This overlay will feature a new music underscore and the vilest Villains taunting you as you whiz by. I am very intrigued to find out what this exciting overlay will consist of!

Meanwhile over in Adventureland you will find a live crew of scurvy scalawags having invaded Pirates of the Caribbean in search of treasure. This reminds me of what Disney did at Pirates of the Caribbean during last year’s Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! During the event, they had live actors in the attractions queue as well as in the attraction itself! This was a highlight for me at the Halloween Party, so I am very excited Disney is doing something along these lines during this brand-new after hours event!

No party is complete without great food! Disney Villains After Hours will feature some wickedly good food and beverage offerings! Additionally, you will be able to find special event merchandise made specifically for this brand-new party! Another perk of Disney Villains After Hours will be the low wait times at more than 20 attractions and experiences across the park! Just like with the other after-hours events and parties there are a limited amount of tickets sold, meaning you can enjoy the parks with limited crowds! All of this excitement and thrill adds up to a one-of-a-kind party!

Tickets for Disney Villains After Hours will be available for purchase on April 29. The cost is $139 plus tax in advance or $144 plus tax on the event night. This party sounds like such a unique and fun new offering! I can’t wait to check it out!
