Bongos Cuban Café - Downtown
Disney
One great spot to take a break from
the midday heat and shopping while in downtown Disney is the
delightful Bongos Cuban Café.
With its cool interior and high ceilings it only takes a moment to
cool off and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Bongos.
It is always a pleasure to be greeted by a smiling hostess and the
aromas of delicious food, and Bongos excels at this.
Once seated you are greeted by the smiling face of Maria who seems
to enjoy her job, and is very knowledgeable about the different
selections offered by Bongos.
For lunch we sampled the black bean soup and an authentic Cuban
sandwich and each were superb. My lunch companion said the Cuban
club was delightful also.
The menu at Bongos offers a variety of entrees prepared in the Cuban
tradition including seafood and decadent deserts. All of the patrons
on this day were eating as if their choices were as delicious as
ours.
There is a children’s menu here but this particular day there wasn’t
a stroller in sight, just hungry adults.
Bongos is definitely an addition to my favorite places to eat while
visiting Disney World.
It is always a pleasure to find a restaurant with good food, nice
atmosphere and friendly and attentive servers. I will definitely
return soon.
