Liberty Inn
Located in Epcot - American Adventure Pavilion
Lunch

I had walked the promenade that straddles the countries that comprise World Showcase at least twice. I had even stopped and read the lunch time menus posted out front of Akershus and Marrakesh, as well as several other restaurants that were equally as hard to pronounce, but I just wasn’t sure where I wanted to eat.

This mid-day exercise had turned into more than I had bargained for considering all I was in search of was some lunch. Nothing special just a little something to hold me over until the big debate that would surround a restaurant selection for dinner started up later that night.

As I was walking past the American Pavilion I realized that I had not even considered the restaurant that it hosted. It had been several years since I had eaten here but I carried a vague memory of a no hassle experience and a pretty good hamburger.

As I made my way through the dining area towards the counter I noticed how large it was and how easily it swallowed up the lunch time crowd without feeling congested. I was fully committed to my decision, even if it was more by default, and stepped right up to the waiting cast member who was positioned underneath the menu. There were a half a dozen or so items listed, but my eye as well as my mind stopped when I saw the Cheeseburger and Fries combo. Here it was a simple lunch, which was no more complicated then just some familiar carbohydrates and protein.

As I proudly carried my tray back to the dining room I made a stop at the toppings bar. This elaborate collection of condiments featured such toppings as, sautéed onions, mushrooms, mustard, catsup and mayo.

The ease by which I was able to accomplish all of this, including finding a table was a welcomed mid-day relief. The hamburger was both tasty and satisfying and with my hunger now behind me I could turn my attention to more important things like where to have dinner.
