Different and Convenient
We found ourselves enjoying such a beautiful day that it seemed a
shame to hide away in one of Epcot’s restaurants. Also, with an
already planned dinner at Disney’s Yachtsman Steakhouse for later
that evening a simple and less complicated dining experience seemed
in order. So with a desire to continue enjoying the great weather
and engage in a little people watching while we satisfied our hunger
we elected to stop in at this counter service restaurant located in
the Morocco pavilion.
Perhaps because of the unfamiliarity of the cuisine and the strange
names assigned to the offerings displayed on the menu we found no
line at the counter and plenty of tables in the open air courtyard.
Undeterred and even intrigue by the choices we confidently ordered
two Shawarma Lamb Sandwiches. The sandwiches were made fresh by the
server positioned just on the other side of the counter, which I
found reassuring and promising. As I watch him assemble the
marinated red onions, lettuce & tomato, generous portion of lamb all
topped off with Taziki sauce I began to gain confidence in our
lunchtime decision. All these ingredients were snuggled together and
served in an eating friendly wrap.
After sitting down at one of the outside table we leisurely both
examined and began eating this tasty Mediterranean lunch and allowed
our conversation, people watching and satisfying food combine for
delightful, convenient and different kind of lunch.
Shawarma Sandwiches- served with hummus, marinated red onions,
lettuce & tomato, topped with Taziki sauce.
Chicken $7.95; Lamb $7.95.
Shawarma Platters - served with hummus, tabbouleh and Tangierine
CousCous salad with fresh Moroccan bread. Chicken & Lamb $10.95;
Lamb $9.95; Chicken $9.95.
Mediterranean Specialties - served with yellow rice. Saffron
Rotisserie Chicken $11.95; Meatball platter $9.95
Mediterranean Wraps - served with Tangierine Couscous salad and
lentil salad. Chicken $7.95; Tabouleh $6.95
Vegetarian Platter - served with Tangierine Couscous salad, hummus,
