Richard Petty Driving Experience

Since 1997 the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway has been giving racecar fans an opportunity to get out of the grandstands into a 600 horsepower 358-cubic-inch V-8 NASCAR Winston Cup stock car.

Drive your own car, or ride shotgun on a 145-mph ride of a lifetime around mile-long, tri-oval track.

The Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway offers three driving experiences and a ride-along program.

Rookie Experience
3-hour program that includes eight laps of driving thrills.

King's Experience
Features 16 laps of driving divided into two 8-lap sessions.

Experience of a Lifetime
Participants work on establishing a comfortable driving line and building speed in a series of three 10-lap sessions.

Ride-Along Program
3-lap thrills ride as a passenger at a top speed of 145 mph.

This driving experience at Walt Disney World Speedway is in action daily.

Those participating must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a vehicle equipped with a standard transmission. Participants in the Ride-Along Program must be at least 16 years of age with identification. Their parent or legal guardian must accompany all riders under 18 years of age.

All experiences include a one-hour training session and all safety equipment is provided. At the end of your experience you will receive your "lap sheets" and a certificate of completion documenting your top speed.
