Downtown Disney Pleasure Island

This is indeed Disney for grownups. Guests will find a non-stop street party with the best in live entertainment. The eight different nightclubs offer up their own party for this nightly New Year’s Eve celebration.

 
   
 


Downtown Disney Pleasure IslandLocated in Downtown Disney Pleasure Island is roughly six acres and situated on a manmade island. This entertainment complex is easily accessible by a main entrance or by connecting bridges from other parts of Downtown Disney. While shopping and dining opportunities are available here entertainment is really the focus.
 

Operating Hours
Pleasure Island shops are open from 11:00am until 1:00am
Nightclubs are open from 7:00pm until 2:00am

Admission
One night admission is about $20.95 and entitles guests to all eight nightclubs.
Admission media’s such as Disney’s Park Hopper Plus Tickets and the Unlimited Magic Pass include admission to Pleasure Island.

Pleasure Island is open to guests with no admission charge from 11:00am until 7:00pm.
An adult must accompany guests under 18 after 7:00pm

Alcoholic Eligibility
Guests must be 21 years of age and provided proof in order to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages.
Guests may obtain and wear a wristband to avoid being asked for proof of age as they move from one nightclub to another.

Guests under the age of 21 are admitted to all nightclubs except the BET Soundstage Club and Mannequins.

Parking
Pleasure Island has its own parking lot that allows easy access to the main entrance.
Self-parking is free. Valet parking for around $6.00 is available after 5:30pm.
Unable to find a parking spot in the Pleasure Island parking lot or plan on just walking over after dinner from another section of Downtown Disney? No problem. Just park in any of the Downtown Disney parking facilities and enter by the bridge that connects Pleasure Island to the rest of Downtown Disney.

ATM’s
ATM (automatic teller machines) is available at Pleasure Island near Rock ‘N’ Roll Beach Club.
Smoking Policy Smoking is permitted everywhere on the island except at the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventure’s Club

Here improv comedy reigns guarantying a different show each night

Rock ‘N’ Roll Beach Club
Some rather exceptional musical talent performs hits from classics to contemporary

Pleasure Island Jazz Company
Relaxing smooth jazz can be enjoyed here nightly

Motion

“Top 40 to alternative”


Adventurers Club
When you walk in you will find yourself in an English styled Gentlemen’s Club, but before you turn around you may want to wait and see what this club is all about. Downstairs in the Library guest are treated for the show that will get under way about every 30 minutes or so



 

BET Soundstage Club
Hip-hop, soul and R&B reigns here as do adults. This is a 21 and older club

8TRAX

If you missed the 70’s or just miss the 70’s join the DJ as he cranks up KC and the Sunshine band along with some of the other musical stars from that decade of flashy and loud disco styled entertainment


Mannequins Dance Palace
This high tech contemporary dance club will put you on a revolving dance floor amid the latest in special affects and lighting

Disney Note: Shows and performance at the Pleasure Island clubs are kept short generally around 30 minutes allowing guest to club hop


West End Stage
Open area stage where rocks bands perform nightly. The bands are first class as is the production

Every night at 11:45pm the West End Stage plays host to a News Year Eve celebration. The music and action heat up until the stroke of mid-night when fireworks and confetti fill the air.


Planet Hollywood
Cuisine:

Prices: Moderate
Priority seating available for lunch and late night
A heavily themed restaurant, which is hard to miss with its planet, shaped building next to Pleasure Island, which usually attracts large crowds. A wide variety of dishes to choose from ranging from pasta’s to burgers and a lot in between.

Portobello Yacht Club
Cuisine: Northern Italian
Meals served: L, D
Prices: Expensive
Priority seating recommended
A nautical feel and look will accompany your meal. The atmosphere is upscale but patrons are often dressed casually.

Fulton’s Crab House
Cuisine: Traditional seafood
Meals served: L, D
Prices: Very expensive
Priority seating recommended
You dine aboard the Empress Lily a non-operating river steamboat. Fresh seafood is flown in daily and the variety and presentation is first rate.
 
Disney Note: The waits at the above Pleasure Island restaurants are often longer than the actual dining experience.

Pleasure Island Jazz Company
Cuisine: Cajun, Other specialty dishes
Meals served: D
Prices: Moderate
This relaxed eatery is possibly one of the best kept secrets at Downtown Disney. If your taste in music is jazz and you are not in a hurry to hit one of the other clubs give this one a try.

 

Shopping is not the prime focus at Pleasure Island but if you feel in the mood have at it.

This one may actually be worth your attention. A regular Hollywood lost and found with items ranging from signed collectables to movie memorabilia.
