If you have finally booked that Walt Disney World vacation for the first time and are feeling a little overwhelmed by the size of the property and wondering how you are going to get around to all the things you want to see then this is the article for you. I will discuss all your options for getting from place to place without needing a rental car. Let Disney transportation take all the stress away from you worrying about how to get around!
First, you will want to make sure that you are staying on property at one of the many wonderful Disney Resorts. Disney has three categories of hotels, which are Deluxe, Moderate and Value so you can find a price that will fit your vacation budget. With a booking at any of these resorts, you will now have access to all the Disney transportation options.

If you are flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO) your Disney transportation experience will start here. Upon arriving in MCO you will head to the Disney Magical Express pickup. Here you will board your complimentary motorcoach that will transport you to the Walt Disney World Resort that you have booked. Disney will provide you prior to your leaving with Magical Express tags for your bags. Once you arrive there is no need to retrieve your bags. They will be waiting for you in your room at the Resort.
Now that you have arrived on property you will want to know how to get to the theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs. Let’s take a look at some of your options.
Buses

Buses run from each hotel to directly to the four theme parks, two water parks and Disney Springs. All you have to do it go to the bus stop at your hotel and a bus will be there shortly to take you to the Disney Park. All buses are clearly marked with location that they are going. When you leave the park to go back to your hotel you will find your hotel bus stop and wait for the bus to take you back. It’s that easy.
Monorail

If you are staying at a hotel on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop such as the Polynesian, Grand Floridian or Contemporary you will be able to take the monorail from the resort right over to the Magic Kingdom or to EPCOT by just making one monorail transfer.
Boats

The resorts on the Magic Kingdom monorail loop also have boats that go directly to the Magic Kingdom. There are also boats to take you to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios if you are staying at the Boardwalk Resort, Yatch Club, Beach Club or Swan and Dolphin. There are boats at Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter and Sartoga Springs that you can take directly to Disney Springs.
Skyliner Gondolas

The Disney Skyliner Gondola System will be the newest transportation system. The skyliner is set to open on September 29, 2019 and will carry guests from some hotels to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios as an alternative to the Disney bus system. The Skyliner will give you a bird’s eye view of the resort that has never been seen before. The Skyliner will link EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
Minnie Vans

Disney Minnie Vans can be used to get around anywhere you want to go on Disney Property. This is Disney’s version of an Uber/Lyft type service but only on Disney Property or to get to the airport. Download the Lyft app on your phone and you can use this to order your Minnie van. There is a cost for this service and it is based on the distance traveled on property. It usually totals more than $25 a trip. But it is a direct trip to where you need to go so it can save you time if you want to get somewhere on property the quickest way possible. The Minnie Vans are driven by wonderful Disney Cast Members.
