The Disney Cruise Line Terminal at Port Canaveral provides a unique
beginning to your magical voyage onboard either the Disney Wonder or the
Disney Magic. The terminal is reminiscent of Art Deco architecture falling
in line with the Classic Ocean liners of the 1930s.
The Disney Cruise Line terminal was dedicated on November 17, 1997, and the
Disney Magic began her Maiden Voyage on July 30, 1998.
Upon arrival at the terminal, when you exit the escalator, you will notice
the very elaborate teal terrazzo floor in the terminal area. It is a
complete map of the Caribbean with the icon of the Magic Kingdom beginning
at the escalator and each individual island - including Castaway Cay is
represented.
In the midst of the terminal, there is a very detailed ship model with one
side cutaway to reveal the restaurants, staterooms and even crew quarters
onboard the Disney ships.
Tip: Wonderful photo opportunity and Mickey and
Minnie usually make an appearance in their nautical
attire, along with Chip
and Dale and Goofy.
Make sure that all of your documentation is filled out before arriving at
the terminal, and it will make your check-in a very speedy experience.
After checking in, you will begin your journey onboard Disney Cruise Line by
entering through a very familiar silhouette of Mickey's Ears, and then you
are off!
Happy Sailing!
